Byrd had a couple sloppy passes early but seemed to settle down. Loved how aggressive and accurate Nate was on offense. As of now Nate's not on the 18-man Charlotte roster.
The mock drafts have Charlotte taking Knecht, a SF and a SG in the 2nd round so that helps Nate's chances. But there are a lot of big men on the roster already: Mark Williams, a 7' C from Duke was a 1st rounder in 2022 so he's still on a guaranteed contract. And 7' Nick Richards from Kentucky got most of the C time last year when Williams was hurt.
Nate needs to learn how to defend without fouling, he averaged 2.6 fouls in only 12.3 minutes a game. He did play 25 games in the NBA so there's that.

Jordan Schakel has played the last 5 years in the G-League except for 6 games he played in the NBA with the Washington Wizards. He's the kind of guy coaches must love to have on their teams: around 80% FT, around 40% 3-pt. Over those 5 years with 4 different teams, he's averaged 28.5 minutes a game and 12.4 ppg. Unfortunately, he didn't shoot well with the NBA Wizards when he finally got in. His first year he got in 4 games and was 1-11 FG , including 1-6 from 3. But he's out there again, with the Maine Celtics next year.
