Nice to see SDSU can put on a decent event - where HS players can get to know SDSU's coachers
How much do you think it can benefit the SDSU Football program in recruiting - yes realize it does establish some positive contacts and or experiences for the HS players and coaches

I was passing by campus with my dog in my car on Saturday morning when I remembered the camp was going on, so I parked my car at Hardy Elementary and we hoofed up to the practice fields. It was packed, yet you could tell it was really well run. We found a nice shady spot in the TG stadium bleachers and watched from up above. Well, I watched, the dog was more interested in licking herself. The campus looked great, and lively. There was a youth basketball tournament going on as well at the JAM Center and Peterson Gym. I hope the recruits and their parents/coaches were impressed.
Mostly local teams this past weekend. Next weekend will have more out-of-towners. We just may wander over again.

It was a beautiful weekend on campus and the passing tournament looked well attended and well organized. I was there for the basketball tournament. Most of the games were in the JAM center, but we did have one game on the Viejas court. The kids were excited to be playing on the same floor as the Aztecs. It was very strange though to be inside for basketball with 50 parents/fans. It was quiet, dark and surreal. The boys thought it was cool and appreciated the experience. Coach Dutch was there the entire time and watched the games. It was different this year vs last year. Last year, no games were at Viejas, but I think the SDSU Team Tournament is growing. Teams were playing from all over. It was great to see so many parents/fans/players being in attendance and around that part of campus.

My daughter played in the girls version of the tournament on a couple of diff Father's Days a few years back. Nobody got to play in Viejas though. I saw some players heading toward Peterson Gym, so I assumed some games might be played there. Maybe it's exclusively for volleyball now though.

They've done it in the past, but it had been a few years. They use the ARC, Peterson and the JAM usually. Very fun event.
