Looks like latest forecast shows rain blowing through by Wednesday and then sunny by Thursday onward. That's what the morning news reported. Rain off and on from tonight through Wednesday with the worst of it on Wednesday. =Bob

One bright spot is if it rains, it'll affect a running team more than a passing team. Cuts are important for option schemes.

Sounds like the game should be okay. Perhaps a bit chilly for San Diego standards, but dry. However, other bowl festivities may be rained on. Not so sure. Got this from a friend who is more or less "in the know": Dave Reynolds (who runs the Monterey NWS) office says: "all week long every new forecast has placed the coming storms so that they make landfall farther south towards so cal." He expects this storm sequence to be huge down in so cal. In southern Sierra he was guessing >20 inches over the next couple of weeks, big hit possible Xmas day. It's still close to a week out, but climatologists are much better at predicting weather than most give them credit for. I'm expecting rain. OTOH, it looks good if you ski. =Bob

Currently we are looking at a cold Alaska front moving South and slamming into the middle of California, combining with a mid Pacific front full of moisture. There should be plenty of snow in the Sierras for Christmas, ... there already is a good base.

Those same climatologists are also predicting that La Nina will seriously kick after New Year's and we may not see much rain at all after that. =Bob
