OK, it appears that the post I made a couple of weeks ago was incorrect. That one showed SDSU with about $97M in revenue for athletics an $104M in costs. However, that site has been updated and the numbers have been reversed: SDSU AD Revenue: $103,930,691 SDSU AD Expenses: $96,611,742 Those are solid numbers. knightnewhousedata.org/fbs/mwc#!quicktabs-tab-where_the_money-0

Seeing how it was financed when the interest rates were dirt cheap, the principal to interest payments should really be in our favor from the start. I don't know how bonds are financed. Is interest front loaded like our 30 year home mortgages? If so, then that should reduce the $96 million AD expenses over time.
