I think that something like this will eventually happen unless the financial aspects of the agreement for the lesser conferences are improved.

This is such a bad idea. This would be admitting you are second class. This will also effect our access to March Maddness, because the power 5 will say the Group of 5 should have their own Basketball Championship. Good luck getting big crowds.

I don’t care what she has to say. All SDSU should be doing is looking for the exit.

I'm sure if the networks wanted it, they could make the top powers change their minds with money. That's all that matters. Nobody outside their fanbases care about the bottom-dwellers of those conferences. So the Vanderbilts & Northwesterns would be outvoted if the money is right

How would you enact relegation in one sport and not the others? And if it DID apply to all sports, how is that fair to that sport that gets relegated via proxy?

You can separate sports Not that it's the same but I've seen the CIF SS do it with 8-10 team conferences with two leagues...playing two vastly different competition levels. They're able to do it down to the individual sports.

Depending upon how you do in the sport you move up or down and different sports are in different leagues based off performance. Now, of course there aren’t 60-100 million in media fees paid out either. I think budgeting could be a disaster
