On offense, I have to go with Profar as he is having a career year. Cronenworth has also stepped up big time as well so far.
Starting pitching, Dylan Cease. No doubt about it.
The bullpen, several stand out, but the brightest so far is Suarez.

Can't argue that--his BB/K ratio is otherworldly. But I'd still go with Suarez, as he been there at end 12 times. And we've won them all. Just not very much happens with the other team offensively when Suarez pitches. |

I'd vote for Morejon. The underlying numbers are stellar. Hard to argue with Suarez, but I'd like to see more strikeouts. Can't argue that--his BB/K ratio is otherworldly. But I'd still go with Suarez, as he been there at end 12 times. And we've won them all. Just not very much happens with the other team offensively when Suarez pitches. Think you have to view Morejon's second act as its own real entity. He's the second best reliever in baseball by Stuff+ right now after the adjustments Niebla made to his arsenal. |

I don't even think Vasquez really pitched that poorly, the offense was completely lifeless for the first three or four innings. A six pitch first inning against a guy with subpar command and control? I'd rather have Morejon stay where he is. |

For now, keep Morejon as a reliever. Put him in as a starter if need be. First off the bench in that regard.

OTOH, Padres MDP (Most Disappointing Player) has to be a dead (no pun intended) tie between Boogerts, Kim, and Muchacho. The three of them would have aa hard time hitting water if they fell (or were thrown) off of Don Orsillo's boat right now as they have of hitting a baseball squarely.(Credit to Tubby Lasorda for that memory).
