This sounds great but until May 2nd anyone can leave. A guy on Charlotte posted a similar message a few days ago and then today entered the portal. If UCLA thinks they need Byrd and want to throw $500k at him he will probably enter before it closes too.

Dutch said entering the portal was a formality, for the athletes that are getting paid, they have 3rd parties agree before the enter. |

Last year did Keshad say he was going to go to school Z and then changed his mind and then went to Arizona - so take it until a player enrolls and attends a class they can change schools -

The NCAA is being rendered toothless. |

You're the one who posted a quote from the UT article from last year indicating that Butler was locked in as well. I'm not going to believe any of them any more.

Byrd isn't in a position to demand a bunch of NIL money right now, but you could probably argue the same with Saunders. That said, I'm really excited to see more minutes from Byrd, I think he has better chance of getting in the NBA than Butler, Parrish and Saunders. It's time to shine!
