Does anyone know if/when/where the Aztecs are playing in a hoops tournament over Thanksgiving this year (2024)? It looks like previously they were set to play in the Acrisure Classic in Palm Springs, but now I am not sure this is the case.

Share any info if you have it I'm too lazy to look it up, but I think we're officially out of the Palm Springs tournament and UNM has taken our place. This is correct. The Aztecs are prepped and waiting for the NIL tournament to take shape. The organizers still have a bit of work to do with Sponsors, Broadcast Rights etc. But given the move to pull out of the Palm Springs tourney I think the NIL will happen. It would be huge for the program, additionally to be able to play in it future years. It would be a boon for the program…..lots of money being tossed around with that tourney. A Million for each team and an extra Mil for the winner. Talk about kids taking it seriously! That’s a tournament with real consequences….all upside consequences!!! Can’t lose with that one. |
