It was an honor and pleasure to work with the team at Aztec Link, the Athletic Dept, and the Football Program to create the trading cards for this year's Aztec Fast Spring Game.
The cards are designed by trading card and memorabilia design guru, Michael Jue, who designed at Upper Deck for many years, and they feature full glossy uv coating, etched foil stamping, and sturdy 20 pt. stock.
The checklist for the set from the game:
1. Sean Lewis - Head Coach
2. Kenan Christon - RB
3. Mekhi Shaw - WR
4. Jude Wolfe - TE
5. Chris Johnson - CB
6. Ryan Lindley - QB Legend
Individual cards were given away at 3 Aztec Link tables located at entrances to Snapdragon Stadium for free when an email / sign-up to the Aztec Link email list were provided.
Additional cards were given out with one-time donations to Aztec Link.
$100 donations received all 6 Red Edition cards plus 1 random autograph.
All 6 signed on-card and some provided "Easter egg" chase versions with inscriptions.
The card tiers are as follows:
1. Red Foil Edition - common version
2. Black Foil Edition - parallel version - each card crash numbered / #250
Aztec Link Subscriber exclusive
3. Autograph - black pen
4. Autograph - red pen / hand #'d to 25 (except Kenan Christon #'d to 23 - his jersey number & Ryan Lindley #'d to 36)
5. Autograph - gold pen / hand #'d 1 of 1
Our plan is to continue the set into the future with more football players, as well as other men's and women's sports.
Very exciting times to have such high-quality trading cards available for the Aztec faithful.
