Baseball vs UCI weekend series

Aztecs are swept by #15 ranked UCI, 3-4, 8-9, 6-7 in 10 innings. Aztecs had very good opportunities to win Saturday and Sundays games, leading both games. Saturday they gave up 6 runs in the 9th, Sunday they gave up 3 in the 9th to tie and one in the 10th to lose.

Walks, hit by pitch, the usual suspects. Our coach just leaves these guys in, regardless of what they are doing on the mound. Team ERA is 7.12. Issued 229 walks in 338 innings plus 100 hit batters. I really don't understand it, but, hey, I'm just a fan.

Our record is now 11-28, 5-13 in the MWC.

The pitching is abysmal. It's worth watching just to see how the staff will implode. They do have some good young hitters, that is the silver lining.

Aztecs lost to USD last night 11-2 and were swept for the season. Same old story. Fourteen games left in the season.
