In the latest ESPN bracketology update by Joe Lunardi, the MWC only secures two spots in the NCAA Tournament. Representing the Mountain West Conference are New Mexico, seeded at #10, and Boise, seeded at #9.
Here's the breakdown of bids from other conferences: SEC with 10 teams, Big X with 9, Big XII with 8, ACC with 7, Big East with 6, WCC with 3, and MW with 2 = 45 schools, AQs make up 23.
It's fascinating to note that there are approximately 1,800 players in the transfer portal, rosters remain incomplete, game schedules are yet to be developed, and amidst all this, there's conference realignment and the decline of the PAC 12, adds teams to Big X, Big XII, and the ACC, as well as the WCC.
In this scenario, the WCC schools include Gonzaga, St. Mary's, and USF.

It’s all about the clicks, the subject matter’s accuracy is not important to them.
