would go the other way - would have preferred BYU and GCU had been in the top 25 - to reinforce that SDSU beat some other decent teams

So...we played in the Sweet 16, but were ranked 17th in the end.

At least they made us #2 in the final poll last season.

Wait, isn’t the final AP poll released at the end of the regular season? It’s usually the coaches’ poll - and not the AP poll - that comes out the day after the National Championship game.

It is rare that anyone does that. I would say that is pretty good reinforcement that we beat decent teams. |

It is rare that anyone does that. I would say that is pretty good reinforcement that we beat decent teams. Looking ahead to next year, our sole confirmed out-of-conference game is against Gonzaga. I hope to secure a victory at Viejas Arena and remain hopeful that Matt Soria and our staff can recruit more high-quality opponents to play. The two multi-team events we're associated with should provide us with additional opportunities for top-tier matchups, but it's anticipated that the Mountain West Conference will face some challenges next year. I would say a 17/18 ranking post-tournament is very well deserved. |

What an experience. A co-ed dorm way back in 1971! I was a student assistant as well as a resident helping to run two floors on the C wing. Although those rooms were pretty spartan. |
