Perhaps Justin Hutson as his lead assistant? Not sure if they know each other well, but I'm sure Dutch would recommend him.

Is the USC HC also taking the former SDSU coach was it Morris
Is Acker adding Tony Bland ?
Where might Tim Shelton end up ?
Is DJ Gay looking for a position ? is X a coach

How about Aerick Sanders and Marvin Menzie. Both were at SDSU. However, both are at the same program in Kansas City.

For us, we need someone on the offensive side rather defensive. Hutch would be a good hire for Acker but that might be too big a step down from Fresno HC. Dutch has hired really well and he will have them lined up out the door to interview.

I firmly support an annual Home & Home with LBSU as long as Acker is HC. The Big West has to play at Viejas with no return. It is what it is. I disagree. We should always play a couple road or neutral site games in the LA area every year. Good for recruiting, good for area alums who can't easily make it to SD to attend games (and thus also great for the Alumni Association, Athletic Department, MESA Foundation, etc.). There are just a ton of positives with regularly playing in LA. |

Good for recruiting, good for area alums who can't easily make it to SD to attend games (and thus also great for the Alumni Association, Athletic Department, MESA Foundation, etc.). I’m assuming Acker will look at Hutson and Morris for his staff. I’d also guess he’ll go after someone like Bland who’s well known and liked around LA.

I really liked Acker, and our teams were really good while he was here. We'll have zero problem filling that spot with a great candidate though

There are just a ton of positives with regularly playing in LA. Agree with all of this! And, LBSU is a good road trip. I remember last time taking over that place. I took my boys and we sat in the second row across from the teams. The home fans were so annoyed that we had purchased the seats. A number of them were trying to get us removed and we never said a work or were disrespectful or anything. They just didn't like the fact we took over the Pyramid. Aztec fans just travel so well. I remember when we took over UCSB as well, LMU was fun, Moraga was a good trip but not as many Aztec fans like other places. My point is these are fun road games and easy to attend. |

YES, This could be a serious rivalry game for each program and like has been mentioned by others, it could open up recruiting and visibility for more fans of the program up in the LA area. This is as long as the HC (Acker) stays in place, Acker seems like a solid guy and could be a nice series to set up. |
