think Dutcher has said that SDSU will be working the Portal as much as they can - even before the guys officially tell Dutcher if they will or will not be back but it sure helps to know their status
NIL is going to be a factor for some guys both coming and going
There is a very good explanation about SDSU's NIL situation and how it compares to others in the UT today - Monday

Listen to the Jeff Smith interview with John and Jim. Great explanation of the need for more people to join The Mesa Foundation. I joined after listening to the interview.

There is no way this was a devastating loss, Matteo. It is amazing that this team made it to the Sweet 16. How many teams this year have lost to UConn by 20 to 30 points? We weren't the only one.

What on the table is better offense for next year. We need two dead eye shooters and a rebounder.

And there might be one or two more before the season is over. The East Bracket was brutal, but they definitely had a nice pathway to the Sweet-16. Outstanding this team made it that far. Either way, you lose by 30 points to an opponent for the 3rd time, that's a pretty rough go no matter how you spin it. Still a successful season. But the losses to UConn keep growing by point margin since 2011.

But the losses to UConn keep growing by point margin since 2011. That's because UCONN keeps getting better. That program is elite. They went on a 30-0 run in their last game. And SDSU is the only school to have a lead on UCONN in the tournament.

What on the table is better offense for next year. We need two dead eye shooters and a rebounder. Potentially, we do have the returning players who can fill those roles. However, they'll need to work on it in the offseason. I think we'll have a better team next season. Although we won't be able to replace LeDee, the offensive ball distribution will get more players involved. That's the good thing.

as always depends on the players returning - who steps up ?
have 3 HS players coming in also
Also as every other staff is doing - working the Portal and NIL situation
