Someone is going to pay Hurley a lot of money to coach elsewhere.

Went to 2 games at Viejas this year, vs Nevada & New Mexico, both resounding wins. For my $ going to Aztec basketball games at Viejas is the best ticket in town.

The member events. We got to attend a practice where all the coaches spoke. There was a 3 point shooting contest and the team signed autographs. Also we got to attend a Team Bowling tournament at Aztec Lanes. It had catered lunch and we got to hang out with the team and bowl with the coaches and the team before they left for the MWC tournament. So I assume there are no special discounts at local San Diego businesses? 🤦🏻♂️

Someone is going to pay Hurley a lot of money to coach elsewhere. He is already one of the highest paid coaches in college basketball. He is in the midst of a 6 year, $32 million contract, I don't think he is going anywhere. UConn has mastered the NIL/Transfer/Rebuild Each Season situation that is modern college basketball, they are very good at it. Hurley also knows how to get guys who fit his system perfectly with Cam Spencer being a typical example.

Worst loss in the dutcher era. Never had a chance. He needs to reevaluate everything. This team was not built to win at a high level Lol

I feel like it was more than a successful season (maybe that was meant in the most positive light). To me making it to the tournament is successful. It's tough making it to the tournament. Making the tournament with a high seed is even better. Making the forth sweet sixteen in school history is exceptional.

Did u come to Boston? It was embarrassing. We were laughed off the court. Yes, we all watched that game. We all we not pleased with what we saw. You forget two simple facts. SDSU is a good mid-major basketball program with a C- NIL package. UConn is a semi-pro Team with top notch NIL and funding for the Athletic Department by deep pocketed alumni. If you don't like what you see on the Court or Football Field, give more of your money and resources.

UConn is a machine, we are a worse top 25 team, it was a good year. We’ve made back to back sweet 16s and won 7 tourney games in 2 years. A thirty point loss to a better team doesn’t change that He obviously yearns for the glory years of WAC Basketball.

Worst loss in the dutcher era. Never had a chance. He needs to reevaluate everything. This team was not built to win at a high level I have a different view. The worst loss for me was Creighton. So many chances. Couldn't hit a free throw to save our lives. Even though we beat them last year, that loss still resonates with me. Still cringe when they play. I don't think he needs to re-evaluate everything. But the offense needs more screens, more back cuts. Need more players who can create their own shots. Don't be so pick and pop heavy. There were times when the spacing on the floor was not great. There were times offensively where there was some confusion about what spot on the floor where players belong (Sorry for the nitpicking). I've often wondered why in games it was obvious we were getting killed on the Boards, why didn't Dutch put Heide in the game with LeDee ? Jmho

If you lose by one or two or thirty, it is still a loss. They exceeded my expectations, I thought the round of 32 was the ceiling. We have beef coming to the Mesa next year and it can't come quick enough. Rebounding was the problem all year long and it was magnified last night. Off the top of my head, we lost five games because we couldn't rebound and/or make a shot down the stretch. The UConn loss displayed both weaknesses in Spades. I am already excited for next year. We have considerably more length and Athleticism coming in next year. Byrd and Saunders are examples of how much more athletic we will be.

Yep, hats off to a nice season. So many highlights: (a) Beating Gonzaga in their house (b) that 2nd half of basketball vs. St. Mary's. Wow. (c) Jaedon LeDee putting the team on his back every night. For me, the barometer is simple: Was I entertained? Yes. Did I feel the thrill of victory and agony of defeat? Yes. Am I already looking forward to next year? Yes! The two dominating come from behind wins over the Utags. They put us on the ropes early. Somehow, we made adjustments and played two of our three best MW games this year. The home win against UNM was impressive as well.

A Sweet 16 appearance is a successful season in my book. Looking forward to who we land in the portal and who we get to replace Coach Acker. Can’t wait for next season! The older I get, the better we are. Looking forward to MBB 24/25. Time to get a scoring point guard, a backup wing, and an experienced post.
