Refs totally turned this game around by calling the second half differently than the first. Too many obvious weak make up + fouls called on SDSU. JMO How in the world can they shoot more FT's than SDSU when we are going to LeDee inside on practically every possession? The second half was bringing back bad MWC regular season officiating memories, not a well officiated 2nd half at all unless you are a UAB fan. In which case you can suck it. It see that, after a while, refs just seem to think they have called to many fouls where LeDee is the beneficiary. |

Have to say that we better stop making those lazy passes if we want to keep playing. Flat-footed on both ends with a pass like you're trying to get the ball to your 100 year-old grandpa who is blind. We really should have won this game in double digits. We won't get away with that next game. I agree, but I believe we will improve on the passes next game. If my memory serves me right, we played kind of sloppy in last year's first game of the NCAA's, and look how that tournament run turned out. |

Any thoughts on how bad UAB handled the last 20 seconds? Seemed like they were too slow. Could have easily gotten a 2, fouled and then went for 2 or 3

The problem was that it had nothing to do with the play in action. He definitely threw the elbow. How hard he threw it, didn't matter. Totally selfish on his part. |

LeDee absolutely pushed on his 4th foul, so it was not that absurd of a call. As for Davis's fifth, I don't mind getting the Kansas treatment.

Great win....how can these refs make such bad call in the last minutes of a March Madness tourney. Big UAB guy got all Ball...gets his 5th. Ledee gets called for barely touching a UAB player. Clutch free throws for us tho! Absolutely. Several weak foul calls against the Aztecs. The UAB guy gets all ball, however, he really excessively bodied up LeDee earlier in that possession and should have been called for his fifth then, so things even out. That's the trouble I've been having with officials all season. They only look at players' hands, not what's going on with their bodies, and that's where LeDee has been smacked around all season. |

Someone mentioned this earlier, but this was a repeat of the Charleston game last year. We responded with our two best-played games of the season.
Also, New Mexico is paying for its weak non-conference schedule.

Lamont and Jaden absolutely balled out. I thought DT played well also. Every time Jay Pal touches the ball, every muscle in my body tightens. And has Miles Byrd converted a single breakaway dunk or layup this year?
