I want to see us 6-0 through the first and UNLV advancing. I want to see the Aztecs go 6-0!

I'd rather just bet the money-line in these games. I get enough heart palpitations just trying to win the game. Worrying about some UAB guy hitting a three at the buzzer to have us win by 5 instead of 8 makes me too schitzo.

It is bouncing around between 7 and 7.5, much respect being paid to the Mighty Aztecs as last season woke up the hinterlands.
Boise is a 4.5 underdog tonight and my guess is they lose worse than that. I am not convinced they can do anything without baiting the regular small rotation of officials who call MWC games into bad calls.
We shall see, Little Leon owes the conference a few now.

Agreed on Boise tonight. Roddie Anderson is good but they really don't have guys that can get to the basket and that's crucial when everyone is tight and missing from outside. That's why I like New Mexico so much. House and Dent should cause a lot of teams problems.

Looking past Friday (I know!) and potential Sunday matchups -- I will venture the road less traveled because I've been watching it for years: Yale. The Yale Bulldogs. Do not be surprised. Knowling, Poulakidas, Mbeng, and most of all this year, Wolf. These guys are a problem. Before you blow them off as "just Ivy", ask Dutch how that went last time they played an Ivy team (at Viejas, just to underscore the point). The first two are Jimmer-esque in their range, Mbang can hit from outside, plus Mbeng was Ivy D player of the year. And Wolf, can do everything -- 7-feet worth of it. 3-point range with full-court handles and a paint presence. He is an NBA-lock and only a soph (such labels still mean something in that conference). The one consistent negative is that, like us, they can go soft down the stretch. They may have fixed that today with their wild last 5 minutes to take Ivy Madness. Also, I think play at the forward positions is where SDSU would have a distinct advantage: ie, there is nothing close to a Jaedon LeDee. This is their 5th go at it in the last several years. They are never an easy-out, and indeed took out Baylor in 2017. That's the quality of Ivy League hoops these days. It's far removed from Princeton running nothing but backdoor cuts. They've got next-level athletes in the upper-half of the conference and if you get through it, there's a real good chance you will be successful. Just ask Sweet 16 Princeton from last season. You're welcome for the scout. Just thought I'd let you all know... It's really fun being me and being... ya know... right. At all times.

I'm just looking for Aztec victories...point spreads be damned. (Plus, I rarely wager on sports anymore)

Yes, and you can thank CBM for his stupidity today to help matters along. Your critique of Yale is what I saw. They're very good. Wolf missed a lot around the basket, but he can move with the basketball. He's very good. They can shoot the lights out. It's going to be a tough ball game. We better come to play.
