Your statement is just hyperbolic without the real need for it. We should be more concerned with the domestic issues than with Putin right now. Putin's mouthpieces are talking about nuclear strikes. I think Putin and Russia should be a primary focus. And Russia was always a focus of Republicans, and still should be. By noting how far the Republican politicians have moved away from Reagan it shows how this isn't the same party they always supported. It doesn't deserve their support anymore. It's bluster. And it has very little to do with Trump (right now) and more to do with Russia losing their ass and their military manpower. Reagan is dead, we can move on. The GOP doesn't know who that is, nor should he be heroized. Republicans just tried to impeach Alejandro Mayorkas over the border "crisis." So much spectacle as they walked the articles down to the Senate chamber. The Senate promptly voted to kill the first article. They are pushing to kill the second article. Women's rights are under attack, with Trump taking credit for overturning Roe v. Wade. In Arizona today, GOP extremists cheered when they wouldn't even entertain a repeal of the law from 1864. 1864. No exceptions for rape, health or incest. How far will another Trump term go? Bill Barr, a "vocal critic" of Trump (according to the WaPo today) said he'll support the Republican ticket in November, regardless of who is on it. The loyalists are digging their heels in and Trump is going to surround himself with yes men. Checks and balances? Maybe not so much. There's a lot to be worried about. But if we continue to water down the severity of the problem with unnecessary jargon, it just widens the divide. We need to talk about the problem in the context of the "why."

Man, trump has these people right where he wants them. Barr, Sununu, and a lot of others despise the guy, but he's left them nowhere to go. trump knows exactly what he's doing..and the light probably went off for him when he heard "dittos"..a kind of agreement with something..no matter the concept or presentation..cult-like. So Ryan, I bet as many people hated each other in 1970, they just didn't know it. Because of technology and reach, they know now. The World got 100x smaller in the last 50 years. My point of "Critcal Mass" and "Carrying Capaciy"..not only based on resources...stands!

Didn't realize there was a Swiss arm of the MS-13 operating in the Southland. I'm not sure what fiction has to do with Trump's affinity for White folks. Fiction indeed. www.shorenewsnetwork.com/2024/04/18/migrants-storm-california-beach-after-beaching-speed-boat/Do you think this event in Carlsbad CA included criminal illegal immigration? A. Yes B. Switzerland D. Other Who do you think the Coyotes had paid off before their trip to Carlsbad? A. Baja California-based Mexican Drug Cartel B. US Border Patrol C. A Swiss Bank D. Nobody So, if you answered honestly, you noted that this was an illegal immigration crime across our insecure U.S. Southern Border and it was a Mexican Drug cartel-sanctioned crime with the most culpable criminals being Coyotes from Mexico and, in so doing, you are now considered a bigot. Now if you dare to ask some of the same types of questions about the illegal immigrants involved and note the likely motivations for them doing this risky and likely very expensive method of illegal immigration (versus going the route of the seemingly easy Asylum-oriented fiasco), you note these immigrants may not have the best interests of the US at heart. So I ask, where do you think these illegal immigrants came from? Switzerland? The absurdity and intellectual dishonesty of the Progressive Democrat knows no bounds.

ptsdthor, you should be pissed at Trump for ordering the Republicans to kill the bipartisan Border security bill. He put himself above the well being of the country. That is utterly unacceptable. Every Republican voter should pull their support for him based on that alone. Biden was set to sign that bill, giving Republicans 90% of what they wanted. That bill was far more Republican than Democratic, but Trump ordered it killed by the Republicans and they did his bidding. So if the border really is your top priority then you shouldn't be supporting the man who killed that bill. To continue to support him after doing that is intellectually dishonest and hypocritical.

MAGA's movement is built upon racial hierarchies and the advancement of White nationalism. The MAGA phrase was used by Reagan in the 80's to signify an economy that was dealing with stagflation. It's now taken on another meaning entirely, coded language that promotes racial division. We don't have to do this.

Trump "haters" (what is this, middle school?) are called "never Trumpers." They have nothing to do with statements made by Trump himself, of which there is a long, storied list, detailing his behavior or the people surrounding him. You're both sides-ing $#!+ AGAIN. There's no debate here. When you look at actual evidence, it's clear as day. When you water down discussion like this with third-grade logic like "They don't like him," you become part of the problem.

johneaztec, there can be no doubt that Trump is a racist. When you use terms like, "Animals," and, "Vermin," to describe Latino immigrants (terms straight out of the Nazi playbook, the exact same terms used to describe the Jews back then), you're a flat out disgusting racist pos. There is no other way to take those comments unless you're twisting yourself into an illogical pretzel to try and explain it away.

The "Switzerland and Denmark" comment about being frustrated by not getting immigrants from "nice countries." The complaint about "shithole" countries like Haiti and certain countries in Africa. His speechwriter and advisor, Stephen Miller, is literally a White nationalist. His association with Marjorie Taylor Greene, who was a speaker at an event hosted by Nick Fuentes, a known White supremacist and Anti-Semite. The hateful anti-Chinese remarks during COVID, calling it the "Wuhan virus" and "kung flu." There are literally dozens of examples.
