That’s the big problem. Always has been. Scheme is weak. Just throw the ball in to Jayden. No one moves after that. Our offesnsive scheme is just dumb and pedestrian. I've been saying this all year long Pass the ball four times above the three point line, no motion on the inside or toward the basket, dump in to LeDee, or isolate for a low percentage shot. Rinse and repeat. It's just dumb and puts the players at a disadvantage, and it's compounded by the fact that we aren't a good rebounding team and can't get those second looks closer to the basket. Good shot by Trammell to close the gap at the half, but we're being outcoached by a guy who looks and talks like Carl Spackler. Agreed. Jayden gets the ball and tries to score. There was one play, on an inbound under our basket, the Jayden shot over 3 guys covering him from the baseline! |

Guys dont want to shoot, even when rhythm, except for Parrish who shoots anything. Pal can make a 3 but passes up all shots

At least he shoots..... Pal at 6' 9" and almost as long as Durant has been given multiple face on looks from 17' and refuses to shoot..... Passed up at least 4 open 3's in rhythm. Duh! I don’t think Pal can shoot! |

If the offense was just bad instead of terrible that half they are probably up 5-7. That was... painful.

The collapse of the Aztecs offensively is about as confounding as the Padres season last year. You know you're looking at pretty good players (some historically great players for the Padres) but it's like other people are wearing their uniforms. I want Butler to come back, though.

We actually need to press as often as possible.
1. Its effective
2. It can lead to points, especially since our half court offense sucks.

At some point we need to find other ways to score as a team moving forward than relying on a 3 point shot. We don’t recruit kids that shoot 90% from the foul line and 40% from the 3 in high school. Those kids are pure shooters. We need to change our offense. We DID recruit a kid like that. BJ Davis was a 50%-40%-90% kid. But he never plays I guess because he's not all-league on defense yet. When he has gotten in, he usually bricks his only attempt, if he even takes one. I hate that he hasn't seen more court time. It would suck if he leaves. |

He only gets a few minutes and rushes shots because he never gets to play. When you’re cold and rushing it normally doesn’t go your way. Hopefully he’ll contribute next season but we need to look at our offensive scheme and not being so focused on it being only one player. |
