Well, that's it then. Hopefully all the effort to rehab it up to now didn't make things worse. He'll be ready by spring training, but who know what it'll do to his value in the market - maybe not much. If it's an arthroscopic procedure, he could be ready ro rehab in 5-6 weeks. But he will not likely be the same as he was before the injury. What's worse, though, is that he misses the post season that he certainly helped make possible.

I would still expect him to opt out, but who knows. Labrum stuff is tricky.

Mets trail 2-0 bottom of 5.
KC/ATL tied at 1 bottom of 6.
Still don't know who we play on Tuesday yet.
If it's a 3-way tie for the 2 remaining WC spots...Arizona is out, and whoever wins the season series between the Mets and Braves will come here as the 5 seed.

Higgy with another Catcher's Interference.
His 7th of the year.
Maybe he needs a little instruction to avoid these unfortunate errors.
But I'll take the 2 run homer!
Lockridge gets #1!! And doesn't get ignored when he comes in!!
AJ Puke, we thank you!
… but wait - And there it goes!!
Another one - two more runs. Dbags fans just sent packing.
It'd almost be ok to see these guys on Tuesday … the Padres could well send the DBags packing if they beat them tomorrow.

And the D-backs can stay home and complain about their ballpark some more.

Am I the only one finding it hilarious that our team, resting a lot of our players, is knocking the DBags out of the playoffs? Two hits tonight is all that they could muster.

Either Atlanta or Arizona with 88 wins each, and not new york with 87 should be the Padres opponent in the playoffs. It looks like at least 1 of the 2 Atlanta-new york games must be played now. I want new york to miss the playoffs over the Aura Moody incident during a game with San Diego Aug. 14 where she was forced to remove the hat she was wearing and place that hat in a car. Now she sues the mets for $2 million for emotional distress and 1st Amendment violations.

As odd as it sounds, we should be rooting for a Padre loss today. The Mets and Braves both hold tiebreakers over Arizona, so both doubleheader games will only be played if the games count towards making it in and NOT seeding purposes.

The best scenario is the Braves win, the Mets lose and Arizona wins, or the Braves lose, the Mets win and Arizona wins.

Perez wants to see more baseball tomorrow.
After a good start, he really got pounded hard.
Lucky they recalled the knuckleballer.
That means Waldo should get to stay up for the post season, right?

Arraez logged his #200th hit of the season.
… that hit probably secured the NL batting title for him as well.

Braves and Mets split tomorrow, Arizona is out.
The Braves would come here, and the Mets go back to Milwaukee, and Arizona can keep complaining about their ballpark.
