Not going to change a thing. Has nothing to do with Trump's trial. Willis testified herself today and while the optics don't look good, there's nothing to indicate misconduct or any kind of dismissal. Georgia will wait its turn, DC will eventually pause the New York trial.

Had Fani Willis and Ward excused themselves the trial would still be on track. JMO Willis is an elected official. She doesn't have to do anything. Wade "could have" excused himself in his role, but there's really nothing in this complaint to warrant a dismissal or even a recusal.

One of the lawyers representing a phony elector, looked like his legal office is in the local Walmart.

I think DC goes first, after New York starts. Trump already filed an appeal to Smith's request, which was REALLY fast.

Knock me over with a feather. On to the appeal. Sure he can appeal...it's his right to do so...but, what's his argument going to be?

Did you follow the case at all?

If Trump is to appeal: He has to put up a SIGNIFICANT amount of money to do so, factoring in the interest rate for the state of New York. He can't borrow any money from any financial institution in New York to do it. Time to liquidate some assets? I'm not sure an appeal is the slam dunk we should be "rolling on the floor laughing" about.

Trump will obviously appeal, Alina Habba already said so on live air, calling the verdict a "manifest injustice" - Largely due to her horrific lawyering in court. Trump could secure a bond or put the entire amount up in cash. Regardless, he's still going to be on the hook for a lot of money, as this doesn't even factor in the rest of his penalties in other cases.

The surprise it took this long to find Trump guilty (officially). The only thing that wasn't known was the amount of the judgement. The judge (jury and executioner) had pretty much said he was guilty since before the proceedings ever officially began. Again, knock me over with a feather.

It's because Trump admitted to overinflating his own assets. Repeatedly. That's...fraud.
