wasn't Nevada 0-16 before they won a game last year - yes the win was over SDSU in a brutal game to watch for both teams

Just surprised he would decommit, but who knows maybe the new regime told him that he wasn't in their plans, or maybe the new regime is running an offense that doesn't appeal to him.

Definitely over-matched his HS competition. I like the way he catches everything with his hands as opposed to letting the ball get into your body. Does a nice job running his routes.

Is the 5A level in Nevada a large school division or a small school division? I can't believe he's rated an 81 on the 24-7 site, especially if he runs a 4.5 forty!!

How's that working in San Diego? In the Southern Section it's fine except at D1 as far as competitive balance. With the exception of Servite with their generational class, it's all Mater Dei & Bosco in the finals annually. The semifinals are running clock blowouts. They basically punish good teams who had outstanding seasons by placing them in a bracket with two schools who have about 40 D1 guys each. Schools like Bosco and MD are so deep that even our own 4 star DB recruit from Bosco barely saw the field during meaningful minutes. For example, San Clemente beat Mission Viejo for the South Coast League title putting them in D1 instead of MV. SC gets body bagged by Bosco in D1 first round while MV wins D2 enroute to a state title.

In SD they have the Open Division, which takes the 4 best teams and pits them in their own 4 team playoff. Both semis in the Open Division went into OT; the Final came down to the last play of the game. This year’s Open Champion lost to MV in the SoCal State playoffs. The rest of us play in 12 team brackets. 1-4 get the first round bye. You get some blowouts in the first round. The 5 vs 12 matchup is generally not pretty. We are pretty competitive in D3, losing a heartbreaker in the semis 3 years ago w a young team. Thought we were sitting pretty for the following season, but they bumped us up to D2 where quarterfinals is as far as we’ve been able to advance. The upper level of D2 is pretty stout for our little farts.
