I am excited about the Sean Lewis hire so was hoping for good news about season tickets and something more reasonable. I had tickets for over 20 years at Qualcomm in
Field level, row 20, on the 30 yard line (I think is was sec 35). There my two tickets were $400 for 2 for roughly 6 games. No excellence gift or mandatory donation to
the Aztec Club.
Now we hear that tickets are going down 20% but with only 6 games that works out to 6-7%. So as far as I can tell the stadium excellence gift for my section would be
$1000 + another $1000 for tickets and Aztec Club donation. Total for two tickets will be $4k roughly for the first year and if they keep the prices the same $2k going
forward.
I applaud Aztec fans that want to pay $4k for the Snapdragon experience vs. the Qualcomm experience. I never had a problem with Qualcomm. You are only there for 3-4
hours 6 times a year. Even if they eliminated the excellence gift I think they are missing the mark as each ticket works out to $167 per game to see AF, CSU, Wyo, HA,
Washington State, and one other school to be determined. Not worth it but I might make the stretch if we had no mandatory $2k excellence gift.
Until they eliminate the Excellence gift we are still going to see season ticket holders stay away in droves. Further they should lower the Aztec Club donation to get
people back into the tradition of going again.
I guess I will continue to buy tickets when I'm excited about the game. For year one that was 3 times buying 4 tickets each. For year 2, I wasn't enticed at all. This
did allow me to attend the CAL/SDSU basketball game in San Juan, which couldn't have happened if I had the FSU game at 7pm.
God Bless Aztec Season Ticket Holders! I just won't be one of them for now. Just not worth it!

I would much prefer to sit near where I sat towards the middle of the field. I had Chargers season tickets on the 35 yard line for 50+ years and even went to the two
years in Carson. Inglewood is just too far. I have sat around Snapdragon and not a big fan of the upper level or corners. I guess I will just pick and choose. Tickets
won't be hard to get when you want to go. Definitely not above the price to go with the excellence gift which will average $333 per game per seat.

I just won't be one of them for now. Just not worth it! From what I can see on the new season ticket pricing map, sections 106 and 108 would match your previous seat locations (not sure what row numbers might be available). The new pricing for those seats is $680 per year. The one time Excellence Gift is $750 which i believe can be paid over 3 years.
The price per game with 6 games per year would be $113 for those seats compared to your Qualcomm per game seat cost of $66. But pretty much all of us knew the seat pricing for our new stadium would never be as low as Qualcomm.
When the season tickets go on sale for 2024 you might even get lucky and fine suitable tickets between the 25 and 30 yard lines in sections 105 or 109 for $480 per year, plus the one time Escellance gift of only $500.
Take another look at the 2024 season ticket seating chart. It might not have be up on goaztecs.com when you looked.

Thanks! Will do. Hope to be surprised because although I only had 2 seats my crew had a total of 8. We had 4 couples that went and tailgated if we could get what you are talking about I might be able to entice them to renew. I am always the instigator!

You can get to the new season seating price map on goaztecs.com.
But, since you didn't ask, here's a link directly to it.
In addition, here's a link to the 3D stadium seating map so you can see the sight lines from the various seats. You can ignore the red vs green seats which is supposed to show availablity. That doesn't seem to have been kept up to date.

Those east side uppers are now my sweet spot. Affordable and an elevated view so I can watch the play develop. And the price reduction is about astronomical, and rightfully so (section 207 orange zone now $450, was $1333 , assuming cost with 1/3 of stadium excellence gift). My increase is only 100 per ticket to shift from the top of the wings to the 50 and we will see if I can get lower than what I was. I don't need to be a baller and spend out the wazoo for a seat, I will just hang with my fellow common folks and now I can see if I can rope some buddies in now. SDSU did the right thing for the east deck, and I suggest people balking at price tag take a look at joining me in the east side.

Yeah... I think if you could get something in the first several rows of 205 or 209... that seems to me to be a good value. If it wasn't quite so much to move up a tier, then 105 / 109 would be the next 'value point' for me.

There is no good value in college, or pro sports. Ive said it before, im not driving from LA to sit in traffic, pay outlandish ticket prices, overpriced parking fees and rediculous concession prices. It’s just entertainment, and nothing else. So no, i will never attend anither Aztec game unless its an away game to a real college venue, like Tennessee for example. That way there are things to do and see ive never done before. The game is just icing. The damn things are on tv and i can change channels when they stink. Which i did often this last year. But being there in person in San Diego makes no more sense to me anymore. I have better things to do. Sorry about that.
