And Jesus cried out and said, “He who believes in Me, does not believe in Me but in Him who sent Me. He who sees Me sees the One who sent Me. I have come as Light into the world, so that everyone who believes in Me will not remain in darkness. If anyone hears My sayings and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world, but to save the world. He who rejects Me and does not receive My sayings, has one who judges him; the word I spoke is what will judge him at the last day. For I did not speak on My own initiative, but the Father Himself who sent Me has given Me a commandment as to what to say and what to speak. I know that His commandment is eternal life; therefore, the things I speak, I speak just as the Father has told Me." John 12:44-49 First off, did Jesus really say that? I mean, no one who lived with him wrote that down. That was written down after it was spread by word of mouth, which is hardly concrete evidence. Second, even if he DID say that, who's to say he wasn't just delusional or mentally ill? You cannot prove the existence of God, nor can you prove that Jesus was the, "Son of God." No evidence whatsoever.

"For you are all sons and daughters of God through faith in Christ Jesus." Galatians 3:26 Amen. King Jesus!!! If people feel He existed, that's cool. I don't. But I'm not going to condemn anyone who thinks He did. That is that person's choice. Just don't shove Him down my throat. ("He" and "Him" is capitalized for those who believe, out of respect.) I would think that's where freedom of religion comes into play.

Jesus doesn't want anybody that doesn't want him. He certainly wants everyone to believe in him, but he's given everyone a choice. Jesus says that on the day that you meet him, if he does not know you, he will simply say, "Depart from me, I never knew you." Since I do believe in him, I say that's a very bad thing. We definitely do have a free will.

Or, are you an atheist or, an agnostic?

Ok. If you're so inclined, a book or movie I would suggest is, "A case for Christ." It's about a staunch atheist couple and to make a long story short, the wife becomes a Christian and the husband, who is the Editor of the Chicago Tribune, sets out to prove that Jesus is not the Messiah, and prove that Christianity is false, only for him to prove the contrary, and that it is true. He now speaks all over the world about it.

And the New Testament was not written by the people attributed (the book of John was not written by John, but a disciple of a disciple of a disciple who finally wrote his stories down). None of the, "Evidence," that Christians point to would hold up under scholarly or legal scrutiny. None of it. It's all based on stories passed down for two thousand years. Not exactly reliable sources.
