KUSI is supposed to air their PPR Player of the Year show tonight at 2100. (9:00 PM)
I am going to the basketball game so I will have to record it and just catch the end. There are five outstanding football players up for this award. I will bet that the highlights on these kids will be spectacular.

You are the winner. How much did you bet? Would be interesting to see how the votes went.

100 Monopoly dollars. PPR loves that guy, he's always on the show. Wasn't a bold prediction.

Well, it was an easy choice. McClure was the best DB and the best WR in San Diego County this year. He is a play maker and a game changer on both sides of the ball. He's also a good kid. McClure won PPR player of the year, Dan Williams won PPR's coach of the year, and Vista won the D1 title. All is right in the world of high school football in 2010.

Add to that McClure was selected as the CIF Defense Player of the year. What a year for him. Travis Bernard was the Offensive Player of the Year.

Notice that Vista's Shakeel Marshall is one of the first team RB's.
The kid never got much attention in the press, but he's got BLAZING speed. He scored on an 81 yard TD run in the championship game, and had another 56 yarder called back on a holding penalty. Because of Vista's balanced offense Marshall didn't put up gaudy numbers like some other backs, but he's as good as anyone in the county.
