Stop using the "true believers" crap. It's lame. Duncan Hunter violated campaign finance laws and committed wire fraud, but he pled guilty to one count of misusing campaign funds....because it was tied directly to him. Nice attempt. Duncan and Joe both broke the law but only one get gets cover from the DoJ as they pushed back on IRS investigators in a variety of ways. The corrupt Prez and Govies forced otherwise unknown Gov lifers to become outcasts and likely lose their careers as their personal integrity wouldn't allow them to be silent in face of the obvious corruption. Except you have no proof of the latter and neither do they. You cannot prosecute a sitting president as it is. No matter what stupid language descriptions you use, it doesn't change reality. If you're going to start prosecuting "corruption" that list is LONG and it includes the current GOP frontrunner for far worse illegalities. When Biden leaves office, go for it. |

You'd have to be completely blind to conclude that there's no influence here, it's blatantly obvious, thanks to Comer's own statements. You also have the fact that Republicans used doctored, fake imagery in the inquiry hearing. It's a complete farce, to be blunt. There's nothing in the Constitution that ties Biden to a specific crime WHILE HE IS PRESIDENT. That's a distinction you're overlooking. Another thing you're overlooking? When he was president, Trump looked into Biden’s dealings in the Ukraine and was quickly impeached for trying to fulfill his presidential duties. Hell, Biden used to brag about his bullying Ukrainian prosecutors and politicians who threatened to expose his under the table dealings. The “Big Guy” has a big problem, and unless the media decides not to air the GOP’s case on TV (I’m sure at least Faux News will cover it, which means everyone else will lest they get scooped) this will not be a good look for President Biden and his dropping poll numbers. So, here we are.
A border security bill is DOA, since it's now known that Donald Trump runs the Republican Congress.
This is how backwards we've gone under new leadership: Republicans have screamed, groaned and cried about the border crisis since 2021. They want to "close the border" and "fix the crisis."
But....wait. They can't fix it under Biden, as it will steal a campaign point from Trump. They are under strict orders not to give Biden a "win" that Trump can't use as leverage on the speech trail.
So, they want a bill. Just not *this* bill, or the next bill or the one after that. They want Russia to completely annex Ukraine as the funding dries up. They don't care about the American border any more than they care about the Ukrainian border, this is just political gamesmanship at the expense of a lot of lives. It's embarrassing and sad.

As President, Biden has full authority to exercise control over the border situation if chooses to do so. In 3 years, he hasn’t.
Now that there is an election coming up, the Democrats want to spread the blame on this issue of uncontrolled illegal immigration to the Republicans. After torpedoing all of Trump’s border policies and the wall, 10 million illegals have waltzed across our Southern borders. The Biden administration basically did nothing. Because of their resentment of Trump they had to erase all of the succcessful Trump policies and the result is a disaster, as illegals hang out in Dem run sanctuary cities, taking Dem hand outs, attack policemen and flipping off the TV cameras as they spend zero time in custody thanks to insane democrat bail policies.
We have a weak president who is clearly impaired,(he can’t even be trusted to make a Super Bowl appearance) while his toadies enact ruinous polices which have financially crippled many of our cities.
I will give the Democrats credit. They circle the wagons and don’t break ranks, even when they are clearly on the wrong side of an issue.

Alternate reality you live in notwithstanding, the only way to fix this problem is actual legislation that combats the asylum backlog. You support a rapist.
