On May 22, the Jansen Biotech company approached the fda for removal of the E.U.A. for this covid vaccine. Then on June 1, the fda revoked the E.U.A. There were two reasons given as this vaccine being out of date and a lack of vaccine takers. In 2021, the government put a halt on giving out the Johnson and Johnson after takers reported getting blood clots.
