who else's would it be? This is COMPLETE bull$#!+. How can anyone defend this? Unless yer related.... or work for the UT The whole article just ruins the mood. It doesn't make us feel good at all but the UT put it in the paper DELIBERATELY! That stinks. How can anybody defend this when it is a total buzz kill? As opposed to running a story by accident? It's not a buzz kill in the least. Hoke is here, he just signed a contract extension and we're going to a farking bowl game for the first time since forever. As others have pointed out, Hoke simply doesn't have the resume yet to get a job like Michigan. Their rich alums would go nuts if he was hired. My guess is they want Harbaugh and he will take the job if and when it's offered. If anything, it increases the buzz because the article states that a storied program might be interested in an HC from SDSU. When, if ever, has that been the case in the past? =Bob

Like TCU & Boise fans dont hear about their coach leaving all the time.

Now it has got all over. This was an article today in the Detroit paper. Not what we need www.freep.com/article/20101212/BLOG14/101212001/1035/ENT/Brady-Hokes-ultimate-goal-Become-Michigan-coach-(one-day

Well $#!+; guess my morale is totally gone and there's no reason at all for me to attend the PB. Besides, who gives a rat's ass about you morale? Are you going to not attend the game because BS wrote that article? As for whether or not they had to print it, newspapers are businesses - figure it the fark out. Personally, I found the article quite illuminating because it offered a certain amount of information that I didn't have. And quite frankly, I have serious doubts you wouldn't have bitched if BS had held off on it until after the bowl game. My guess is you'd have just bitched that it somehow was screwing with LOI signings. You are one of the good guys and I really don't mean to wrack on you, but it does seem that for some on here there is no good timing for UT articles - they will always be seen as hit pieces when they are nothing of the sort. =Bob

who else's would it be? This is COMPLETE bull$#!+. How can anyone defend this? Unless yer related.... or work for the UT I am still very upset about what has happened and I think the UT has fingerprints on the crime right here. They advertised to the world a month ago that Hoke wanted to get the Michigan job before it was even open. Michigan read it last month and hired him this week. How can anyone defend this?

I am really surprised by the lack of insight of my fellow board members. I know much is said that is tongue in cheek. But some of this is rediculous. A newspaper's job is to sell papers and advertising. A journalist's job is to write stories that are well written and appropriately researched. A columnist is paid to write his opinion. An editor's job is to assign stories, choose which story to print and supervise the well written/researched part. the Sports Information Department and Public Relations firm has the resposibility to get happy information out that makes the masses happy, boosts morale and hopefully ticket sales. Didn't we all learn this in High School?
