the big thermometer has gone on and offline for years...one year it got blown in half by a wind storm. I go by Baker often, on my way to Death Valley. DV is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. The MTG dedication is based on the crazy meth head lady who came into our lane (middle of the day) a mile away on a straight...and never moved over. She forced my wife and I off the road, with not another car in sight. Her rage face, we will never forget. Baker has a "special" kind of resident. Perfect for that nutball MTG.
