- This got racial as expected...did that college-educated...suburban raised...great-job-opportunity-having white dude who shot and killed those five in the bank the other day a victim of gang (Black) street culture?...was he and the 50 other white mass-shooting killers "acting Black" or were they under the influence of right-wing love affair/culture/propaganda...of white politicians glorifying AR15s by using them as props in campaigns...wearing them as lapel pins...Morant, Williams and white mass killers are products of the destructive American gun culture...that's the problem. Let's not go here. Best to stop before this goes off the rails. You didn't comment to the posters who got racial...so don't comment to me about responding to them.

I saw him play a few times and he just wreaked of a crazy ego and attitude issues. Blowing up on social media the way he has, it would be tough for any kid to keep their head on straight so I don't really blame him... its just sad. I'm glad we didnt get him though, definitely not a fit here

It was for everyone and not directed at you specifically. Although, you do have a tendency to make it racial every time like something like this comes up. The other psoter was just quoting some garbage that wasn't even his comments but you had to go and make it racial.

Instead of attacking the poster, why don’t you refute the points? Because YOU wanted to make this political and add your anti-gun rant. You are the problem. Well, in defense of bnasty..this got to Ja Morant and gangsta real fast. He was just pointing out the hypocrisy.

Constantly trying to stir it up. Not shocking, and yes, race is brought up in his posts every chance he gets.

Updated with details from the sheriff's dept. Arrest stemmed from an investigation into an alleged shooting following an altercation at his home March 27: "Five people got into a car and as they were driving away, shots were fired. The car was hit."

So he'll be going to Alabama, then? No. Mickey and Penny Hardaway son are very good friends. They both played AAU basketball together for several summers.

It's always best to wait until all the facts come to light before judging. We don't know what exactly went on. Just because someone gets arrested and charged, doesn't mean they are at fault. Let's wait until we get more accurate information before we make assumptions.

I dont know the dude at all and think its best to wait for details to come out.

I love how they wouldn't name Mickey Williams roommate because he is underage but two sentences later his name in on the article We have all kinds of CIF violations that everybody knew about in the HS ranks. CIF should just let everyone transfer to play at any HS of their choice. If a beat writer can put it together in less than 5 minutes there is a problem. As to Mickey William coming to SDSU it was never going to happen. Mickey is a natural scorer that needs an uptempo type of offense to get his shots in transition. Dutcher doesn't like pushing tempo because that how sometimes you loose 3pt shooters on defense. Mickey is not a screen and roll guy, he is a player that creates his own shot and needs room to operate which would lead to a change of offense. His two years of HS basketball defense at San Ysidro were as poor as it can get. My broom stick in the garage could defend a lot better. I honestly was disappointed with his HS performance this year. A lot of it can be attributed to his HS coach who really didn't care too much on defense. Mickey has always been gifted on the offense of end, he really needed a coach that could push him defensively. The prototypical NBA PG have to defend at a high level, run high pick n rolls, and shoot 3's at 40% mark. That means that at practice you are shooting somewhere near 85% of you 3pt shot attempts. As JJ Taylor he was more of a SDSU prototypical SF/PF. That was probably the guy who we missed out but quite honestly him and Mickey were a package deal. Taylor is not a natural scorer and Mickey really set him up for a lot of easy baskets. He is long, skinny, athletic, and can jump out of the gym which is what SDSU looks for when recruiting. His 3pt shooting will need improvement if he wants to play the SF spots. Long term I see him as a lock down defender in college but with Penny Hardway as his coach I don't know what he will offer him. James Wiseman has struggle to play defense in the NBA and a few other of his player that have transfer struggled defensively at their new program for their first year.

James Wiseman has struggle to play defense in the NBA and a few other of his player that have transfer struggled defensively at their new program for their first year. All very good points. Early on I really hoped we would get Mikey Williams. He is honestly one of the best high school players I have seen in person. He literally can take over games offensively. Having played against him multiple times with my son playing at Carlsbad High School. We literally have a kid or two that will play in college and Mikey was head and shoulders above our best players. Mike was literally unstoppable. However, I think you make a great point and Mikey does not fit the CURRENT Aztec offense but I am sure Dutch and staff could make changes if we got that type of talent. I will never knock Mikey because he sees like a good kid and his an entourage that is hyping him up all the time. When we came back last season and beat them in San Ysidro it was very surprising. It seems like Mikey and JJ really stopped playing. They started trying to dunk and alley oop everything and stopping and posing for pics. It became a highlight reel for them while we clawed back. They stopped playing defense and tried to make it a highlight tape. By the time we caught up and passed them, Mike and JJ were on the bench and watching. They just seemed to have gotten bored with high school this year. They can turn it on just about anytime they want. We would have been so fortunate go get either one, but it is not disappointing we didn't get them. Great players though and it will be interesting to see what they do and how far they go in college and professionally.

Why does our society lavish kids like him with millions of dollars for throwing a leather ball through a metal hoop?
It honestly seems like an absurd waste of money.

Giving kids a huge amount of money can be a recipe for disaster. I hope he has a good support system, although this incident did happen. But, like others have said, let's wait for all the facts to come out, before any judgement.
