5 Dead, Including Gunman, in Shooting at Louisville Bank: Here's everything we know "A 23-year-old man opened fire at a bank in Louisville, Ky., on Monday, killing four people — including a close friend of the governor's — and wounding nine others, including two police officers, officials there said." "The suspected shooter, Connor Sturgeon, an employee of the bank, is also dead. He used a rifle to carry out the attack, which police say he was livestreaming." news.yahoo.com/louisville-mass-shooting-bank-police-kentucky-governor-victims-what-we-know-164520760.html?spot_im_highlight_immediate=true&spot_im_comment_id=sp_Rba9aFpG_f43674b0-b862-4893-958d-983494369599_c_2OFgBSfJGRQtrUw6eay2egnyZSc&utm_source=spotim&utm_medium=e-mail&utm_campaign=liked-message&spot_im_redirect_source=emailHell one of their community murdered children a few weeks back and the week before that and the month before that and the day before that...and the...it's like straight white men belong to a cult...they need to be stopped from killing another six-year-old or teacher in class...or an innocent old lady watching a parade...or a bus driver...or church members...or.....

To deflect and blame (one of "them" did it) allows a certain mindset, many of whom have jobs in the government, to do absolutely nothing about a critical problem in the US. This problem is escalating and getting worse. You guys already know, but check out comments on this latest shooting on FOX.news.com. The archaic knuckle draggers are out in full force. "open season on the gun grabbers" , "they are blaming the gun again"!..."should we outlaw cars"?.. America will implode at this rate...and its our (collective) f****** fault.

Hmmmm. Wonder what the OP could tell us about the Nashville shooter?
Such selective posting. Sounds about right.

The lack of intelligence & critical thinking in Fox News articles comment sections are about what you get from Ryan & his liberal pals. It’s a shame they can’t get more original than blaming angry MAGAs they obsess over.

A) I don't comment on Fox News articles, there's nothing to learn there, much like the Shapiro/Matt Walsh/Clay Travis crowd. It's an intelligence vacuum. B) I fancy myself a critical thinker. I'd like to think I can make valid points that stand up to scrutiny and don't fall into the mindtrap of believing everything that's put out into the universe. Speaking of critical thinking, one trans act of violence, or even a small semblance of a pattern, doesn't in any way sway the overall statistics in this particular scenario. The vast majority of these mass acts of violence are committed by white males. The problem of course goes much deeper than that.

You make me laugh. I’ve been posting on this forum for 12 years. All I’ve EVER said on trans genders is I don’t support children being sought for gender reassignment nor condone men competing with women., Yet, you pigeonhole me as anti trans. Says more about you than it does about me.

Yeah, I've got a great idea, let's judge individuals by what others do of the same race. We can call it progressive racism...

Not that you care what I think (and I don't blame you there), but it's just disappointing and predictable how biased and inconsistent you are, as you "critically think" and comment. I know without a single shred of doubt, if the shoe had been on the other foot in the Riley Gaines SFSU situation and it involved "MAGAs" or any conservatives doing similar, you'd be in HYSTERICS and demanding judicial investigations, arrests, you name it. Shame on you. It's a waste of a high level of intellect (which I believe you do possess), when you can't look at situations objectively and unbiasedly.

Shame on you. It's a waste of a high level of intellect (which I believe you do possess), when you can't look at situations objectively and unbiasedly. I don't know enough about that situation to even comment, so I haven't. There will always be outliers/rogue actors/extremists, no matter what the cause. These mass shootings, for example, almost always have a trigger. Some form of bullying, some family trauma, some event that leads to the end result. There's usually some sort of suicidal ideation, like we saw in Louisville. The increase in technology leads to more live-streamed events, like we saw a couple of days ago. The immediacy and ease of access to weaponry, combined with how we treat mental health in this country, sets a cascading amount of dominoes into motion that we don't see until people are dead. I would argue the same level of objectivity resides elsewhere, for what it's worth. Should we only care in select instances? I'd relax on the hyperbole, I don't want any judicial investigations. We have too many of those currently ongoing that are gigantic wastes.

Hey, you loved the "snark" and tone of the OP, asshole. Easy, tiger. The problem is that the OP is trying to paint a false picture of something and I'm trying to see what that is. 97% of mass violence acts are committed by men. One random incident in Nashville by a trans woman isn't evidence of anything to the contrary, female shooters are exceedingly rare. Brenda Spencer comes to mind, but that was a LONG time ago.

Yeah, I've got a great idea, let's judge individuals by what others do of the same race. We can call it progressive racism... Lost in this world, is the ability for MANY to judge people on an individual basis. How that particular individual got to the point that they felt they needed to lash out in these ways. Many judge people as a collective group. In a lot of cases it shows their own biased/racist feelings they have inside. Not good.
