It’s very annoying hearing all these TV and radio sports analyst talk as if the results of this tournament so far is generally bad for the tournament overall. If “blue bloods” had made the finals, would anyone really care, outside of their conference and state, about them being in the finals? It wouldn’t be must be must watch TV for me. I care about high level basketball being played regardless of what teams are in the finals. I care about the underdog story. I think that makes for a compelling tournament game.

SDSU churns out just as many graduates as just about any Blue Blood in the country.
And we run one of the largest cities in the country.
Kentucky, Duke, etc etc... GTFOOH!

Keep the disrespect coming, right up to the opening tip. It’s the very fuel that feeds this Aztec team. It’s not a chip on their shoulders, it’s a Sequoia!

SDSU also doesn't have one standout player with a definitive NBA career ahead. But we have a rock solid team that goes nine deep. These guys genuinely all seem to love each other, a true family that deserves to be on the big stage tonight. You have to give Dutcher some credit for building this, but he has also acknowledged how well the players have accepted their role and shared minutes. Bradley is a perfect example, this is his lowest scoring average in his career, but we all know it was worth the sacrifice. As Dutcher has said in the past, many other coaches have to deal with primadonna's complaining about minutes on the bench, Dutcher says that just doesn't happen with this team. Any 5 of those 9 players could be closing at the basketball game tonight.

UConn is a blue blood program. Don't get it twisted. They are going for the 5th title. If that ain't blue blood I dont know what is.
I have always put them there with Duke, Carolina, Kentucky, Kansas, UCLA, Zona.

When the disrespectful comments by Nevada fans of the AZTECS during the Nevada game in Reno, provided the AZTECS with motivation to win all but 1 game after that happened. Now finish the job AZTECS by beating Uconn. AZTECS must control the outbursts while getting no technical fouls. GO AZTECS.

Absolutely right but there is genuine disappointment that the likes of SDSU and FAU dare to actually beat the blue bloods. This is why we all watch the tournament in the first place. Just like Dutcher said, that given the results and parity in college bball, perhaps more mid-major winning teams should be in the tournament more often than those from the losing teams from high major conferences.

I said it in another thread. Every team in the Final Four has beaten a blue blood or beaten a team that beat a blue blood to get here. This trophy will not be tarnished because the traditional blue bloods aren't here this year. Apparently they didn't deserve to be here.

Do not think there will be an ( * )
In addition UCONN is a Blue Blood team - so they have their Goliath vs David ( the Aztecs have Coach Dave V )
Did see on a TV visual today that since 1998 no team west of Texas has won MM
Last West Winner was Arizona in 1997 - if TV information is correct

We know who won that match up.
