Looks like a good get. Anytime we can out recruit Colorado and Sanders it's good.

Not encouraging. It's a free-for-all out there.

The recruits all committed to SDSU thinking we'd be a PAC / P5 school within a couple of years....it's no wonder they're all considering bailing. This also proves that the AZ schools don't "need" SDSU in their conference to help recruit SD County. A P5 school from any where is always going to have the upper hand in regards to recruiting, regardless of the recruit's individual location. F'ing B1G, Kliavkoff and Oregon

I think Wright and Bey recognized when they committed that if you play well at SDSU you can get a shot at the NFL. Yes, if they were playing in the PAC 12 that was going to be great because the opponents were SoCaL, NW, NorCal and Regional all places where family and friends can travel to games easily. Arizona now going to b12 will not be playing the Regional and traditional matchups. So why go to Arizona and have to travel distances to places that don't have the wanted traditional rivalries? Yes, Arizona is P5 and that is an attraction but not the whole pie...they have a decision to make..if they want to be AZTECs great...if not soo-long and good luck...walkonfan...GO STATE BEAT ohio

I assume this site has current information. www.spotrac.com/nfl/college/It shows SDSU with 27 players on NFL rosters. That's good for #38 in the country, tied with Utah and Miss. St. From the current Pac 12, SDSU has more NFL players than ASU (24), OSU (23), Cal (22), Colo (16), WSU (14). And bringing up the Pac 12 caboose is Arizona (11). From the current Big 12, only Texas (gone in 2024), Oklahoma (gone in 2024), TCU, Cincinnati and Baylor have more NFL players.

If he should flip to AZ, that would show everyone his true character since his word to SDSU is bond at this point. Though SDSU would gracefully concede if he backed out, SDSU's influence on the NFL will not forget. You see, if you back away from a school, you're also backing away from a world of opportunity.

I'd imagine with the hopes of a P-5 affiliation, that visibility, conference prestige, and potentially increased NIL would be more readily available. Now that this is not the case, he's looking at all options. I don't love a decommitment, but the landscape has dramatically changed for this young man and a number of others. If you said you'd take a job for X, and it turned out to be not X, but a fair amount less, should you still be obligated to take the job? I don't think so.

Kids have to do what's right for them in this case. They listened to the adults in the room telling them of P5 assumptions and dreams then those dreams were ripped away from them. So on to the next building block for their lives. Hopefully that means here at SDSU but if not I wish them well in their future endeavors.
