Careful what you ask for. UConn is firing on all cylinders right now. You thought FAU had a good day shooting 3s.. They had a better day than UConn did. FAU was 9-22 and UConn was 9-26. They won because they held Miami to 32.3% shooting from the floor and won the rebound battle by 9. |

They’ve never dealt with “The Slog”. Talking to Uconn fans in Houston they’ll tell you they are amazing but they don’t win close games. Either they blow someone out or they suffer. I don’t think they’ve experienced anything like this defensively. It could be rough sledding which is exactly where we want them.

I know Dutch will go with the same starting lineup, as he has all year, but this UConn team is BIG. I'll be curious to see how Trammell works out against three much taller guards. Having Micah and AG or LeDee out there will even out the size difference a bit. Their 7-2 Center is huge, but not all that skilled. Go Aztecs!

The 2010-11 team was better than the Huskies, but better teams do lose games.
This season we do not let ticky tack technical calls divert us from our focus.
Connecticut hasn't shown they can win close games.
I still hate buzzer beaters, though I am ecstatic about the Butler shot, which will rank up there with the Christian Laetner shot as MM Legends.
Let's try and blow UCONN away, but even if it is close, who can doubt that our Aztecs will make them FIGHT if they want to win it.
They hate us. We still don't care. We're San Diego Stinkin' State.

It won't be easy, but if the Aztecs can beat them it is the perfect ending to a dream run as I am still bitter about the officiating the last time we played them. |
