I'm here, but was taken by surprise by the demise of Aztectalk. What is the story. The story is that nothing lasts forever. Even the giant redwoods die. Even great mountains eventually crumble into dust. Rivers change course and national boundaries are obliterated. Apparent exception: SDSU football consecutive losing seasons.  |

No need to take shots at each other. The purpose of this board is to enjoy sharing info, questions, news, opinions, etc. regarding SDSU in general and Aztec sports in particular. I must confess that name calling does not seem to further those goals. Maybe you should use PMs to lodge personal complaints, though I would hope that in general we should all just relax. Life is too short, etc., etc. AzWm (again too lazy to log in as William L. Rupp) Don't intend to let it get out of hand because I don't intend to respond to him any longer. I just found it ridiculous that he'd attack Zip in the manner he did, even though he's pissed that Zip banned him. =Bob |

I'm here. Back on an Aztec board for the first time since 1998 before the Vegas Bowl vs UNC. What board was that Damn. I joined several months AFTER that game. Where have you been all these years? Under a large rock ;D...Nah, i'm a lifelong Tarheel fan and i'll occasionally sign up on a few other boards. The Aztecs are one of those teams i've always been intrigued by. Seems like a lotta potential out there that just hasn't been manipulated the right way. |

i'm a lifelong Tarheel fan and i'll occasionally sign up on a few other boards. The Aztecs are one of those teams i've always been intrigued by. Seems like a lotta potential out there that just hasn't been manipulated the right way. Back in the LV Bowl days, we had a drooling fool for an athletic director. Even after he was finally shown the door, we had Gene Bartow as an interim AD for about 1.5 years and he was fine, and then Mike Bohn for about the next 1.5 years until he bolted for his alma mater, Colorado. Bohn was passable too but was then replaced by another fool (not a drooling one, but still a fool). Ergo, over the last dozen years our athletic department has been led (I use the term loosely) by mainly incompetent dolts. Although I'm cautiously optimistic that's finally been rectified, only time will tell. |

Just registered and finally made it here. I was surprised to discover that another Aztec board went RIP. And I learned it while visiting the MWC Message Board. This must be like the 11th Aztec board created, isn't it?
Just curious - where are the links to goaztecs.com, MWC message board, etc?

ADs are fundraisers and office managers, that said - they can often have more of a detrimental effect than they be really positive. THe 6 positions that matter are Men's Head Coach, O&D Coordinator, Men's Basketball, Strength Coach, and Women's Basketball Coach are all in good hands and save T-bone, many of the other programs as well, so I'm rather optimistic that as long as the next president isn't a drooling fool and isn't adversarial to athletics we are actually poised to be presentable. |
