An Arkansas player lowers his shoulder into the Kansas defender with the score 67-all. The Kansas player was the one given the foul that was due to bad refs. That should have been called an offensive foul on Arkansas. Kansas lost by 1 point.

It still ticks me off to think about the Arkansas game. Should not have lost that one! A bad ref call cost us that Arkansas game. Arop was grabbed and pushed out of the way so the Arkansas player could grab the rebound and score that forced overtime.
I didn't see the Kansas game so can't comment on that.

Musselman is a tool and took off his shirt after the win. I really didn't need to see his dad bod and nipples. Kind of hoping for a rematch, however.

Arop was pushed all the way off the court. I watched the Kansas versus Arkansas game. I thought the call being questioned was the correct call. I also did not think the referees favored Arkansas. My bias would be against Arkansas as due to mussleman, they are one of my 5 or 6 least favorite teams. Arkansas had 3 players foul out. It is tough on that fact alone to have a view that the officiating was favoring Arkansas. Arkansas made the necessary adjustments and won the game. Musselman is a jerk, but he did a good job coaching in that game.

Though this video is based on the NBA, and a bit long, I think it does a wonderful job showing how basketball foul calls have changed over the years www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IPXSqOhykg&list=PLXqm8W6SsbVTt6C2tItRCJbzYW_BO8JaO&index=11&t=676sThe block charge call hasnt really changed in the rule book, but for some reason now you have to be perfectly still as a defender for it not to be called on you; and even then they may still whistle you. I think its ridiculous now that the defender has to be flat footed with his hands below his waist for it to be a charge, but that seems to be the m.o. for most officials.

Have you watched youth basketball? Charges are virtually never called. Even if defender is well established and does not move. Offense can run over the defender and the defender will be called for the foul.

SDSU got called for multiple offensive fouls during the 2022-2023 season. The Wichita Eagle webpage stated (Kevin) McCullar fouled out on the play (by Ricky Council) that easily could have been called a charge. The score was 67-67 and 23 seconds left at the time of the play. Council made the first foul shot but missed the second with an Arkansas rebound and 2 made foul shots to up the lead to 70-67.

Two teams with HC's that are really hard to stomach
only positive thing does show that the Razorbacks are a good team - that Aztecs lost to or that the Aztec team collapsed at the end - their young players have really started to play pretty well

The reference to charge vs block calls makes me think of the Aztec that was outstanding at getting charge calls. Tim Shelton was amazing at establishing position and getting the charge call. I think best Aztec ever at this "skill".
