Baker hit SIX three pointers in the first 4 minutes, scoring 22 points. Hottest start I’ve ever seen for a player in a college basketball game. Nevada leads Utah St. 28-9 nearly with 11:33 left first half.

One upped Adam Seiko's performance against Utah State before the first media timeout.

Tied up at 10 minutes left. Baker hadn't scored since the first half until just now.
USU has come all the way back. UNR is putting nothing in now.
USU just took the lead for the first time tonight.

Shulga, Ashworth, and Akin turned this game completely around. They aren't ready to be written off, and they're not going to lose this one tonight - despite the huge lead by UNR. USU is now ahead by 7 with 22 seconds left. USU ball.
And a Q2 loss for UNR.
USU wins by 9
HaHAHA!

So far 5 MWC teams with 20 wins and San Jose State and UNLV with 16 wins each. How many people want to see UNLV beat Boise State tomorrow and give the AZTECS a two-game lead.

More importantly, it removes Nevada as a threat to win the MWC title. Only BSU now stands in the way of an Aztec championship.

Yes we have a two game lead on Nevada but have to play at New Mexico and Boise still. And it's not impossible for us to lose to either Col St or Wyoming depending on how badly we play on a certain night. Since we split the series with Nevada, I think the next tie-breaker is how both did against Boise State (assuming it's not a three-way tie). We both may end up splitting those series too. But Nevada split the series vs Utah State and we swept. So we would get the higher seed in the MWCT but I think we would be co-champs of the league. Not 1000% sure of this, anybody know for sure?

There are no tie breakers for the MWC Championship. If two or three or four teams have identical conference records, they're all co-champions. For MWC Tournament seeding purposes, records against conference opponents is used. Right now, there are several variables that go into figuring out seeding possibilities. But it boils down to conference records against the top 5 conference finishers, likely SDSU, Boise St., Nevada, Utah St. and New Mexico. I started to put together a list of scenarios, but it made my head hurt, so I stopped. SDSU needs to just win out.

I'll wait until at least after the New Mexico game to do the math again.

State will finish no worse than 14-4… but you are correct on the tiebreakers… the USU sweep will give SDSU the #1 seed

Yes, it's likely 14-4 is the worst case scenario, but it's certainly not the actual worst case scenario. It's possible to lose to Col St and/or Wyoming also. This team's history makes statements of absolute seem overly confident.

Plus USU made halftime adjustments to guard him. We've seen this with Seiko before.

as we have seen numerous times Coaches make adjustments during half time and the player who may have been incredibly hot has to make their adjustments also - same for coaches - be prepared and ready to make adjustments
20 win seasons - might want to see how many of those 20 wins are against Q3 or Q4 opponents during the OOC - Some teams play a fairly easy OOC
