In addition the Team trip to Pearl Harbor is also a Historic memory that we all need to remember

The stadium hosting this "C grade" bowl game seats 9300. I'll bet there's a whole bunch of high school football stadiums bigger, especially in Texas.

IMO the stadium does not matter as not that many fans attend these lower level games - in fact it could look better playing in the smaller facility
Aztecs played the MAUI T for MBB in a HS gym and that looked fairly exciting to watch the games and fans
Aztecs can use the Practice Days that they get
Players get to enjoy Hawaii and for some their last football game
Coaches can see if there can be some recruiting to do there

Lower tier bowls are going the business model of making their products a TV product
Attendance is irrelevant so long as they can get viewers on whatever network owns the bowl's TV rights to watch the match-up the TV execs prefer
That's why we rarely see P5 vs G5 anymore unless it's one of our champs facing their 4th place team

Will be very interesting when the College Football Champs goes from 4 teams to 12 -
