It's a great bowl destination. Better than we deserve, honestly.

Well out of all of the crappy bowls out there, at least our players get to go to some place nice and sunny!

Looks like a high school stadium at this point. We might as well be playing at Southwestern College.
Oldie Out

We should be happy to be bowling anywhere. This is fine.
The best news is we get an extra week of practice over those first weekend bowls.
That said, don't be surprised if ESPN reshuffles the deck a couple of times before the week is out.
Edit: Last sentence written before the official announcement.

HERE'S a THOUGHT. Move the Hawaii BOWL to SNAPDRAGGON. Lets save on travel costs and have a home game that people can actually go see! Middle Tennessee would probably still have fund in southern California. BOTH teams might like to play in front of MORE than 37 people.

maybe the coaches can do some recruiting while they are there
In addition how many practices can the team get before the game

maybe the coaches can do some recruiting while they are there In addition how many practices can the team get before the game Normal schedule 4 weeks of practice but you have to work-in finals week (13-19th) There is no changes to practice during bowl prep, same as in-season. (The only having 15 practices is an old myth)

How fitting that we will schlep ourselves into a bowl with a team---that could likely beat us---that no one knows, Middle Tennessee...except perhaps Frodo and Gandalf.

Middle Tennessee beat Miami (Fla.) and Colorado State in non-conference games this year. They averaged 267 yards a game passing on offense while allowing 291. Chase Cunningham is their No. 1 quarterback who is 80 yards from 3,000 for the season. Last year, they beat Toledo in a bowl game.

This is a great recruiting trip too. A chance to do in-person visits
