Many things are troubling about this revelation. First, the government media complex obviously hid this damning information until after the mid term elections, probably skewing the results. The White House seems overwhelmed with questions, refusing to answer anything related to this story. It’s going to get much worse before this story eventually gets put on the back page. Yet another illustration of our two tiered justice system. Biden, Hillary, they get away with obvious obstruction and malfeasance, while ANYONE ELSE would be politically crucified and prosecuted to the fullest extent possible…..see President Trump. So, there is a Chinese connection to this story. How much access did the multi million dollar “donation” buy the Chinese? Why were the documents left there and not some other site? This is either gross imbecility or high level treason, not an innocent oversight like the tight lipped Biden people seem to be suggesting. The Biden Administration has been very soft when dealing with China, at least when compared to his predecessor. What happens when they finally make the long expected move on Taiwan? Will our President just sit on his thumb and let it happen? Once again, the bar for impeachment was lowered to ankle level with the hyper criticism of President Trump’s “phone call”. This FAR OUTSTRIPS anything he was impeached for. Oh, that’s right, the two tiered system, Americans see this cr@p and are not happy.

This FAR OUTSTRIPS anything he was impeached for. Oh, that’s right, the two tiered system, Americans see this cr@p and are not happy. Skewing the results of the midterm election where the president wasn't on the ballot? All I hear is excuses from a party rife with bigotry and extremist policies. The first set of documents were found November 2nd, a batch of about ten. Is that somehow supposed to sway the election results in less than a week, when many people had already cast their ballot? Where's the obstruction? The documents were found and DOJ was notified. The reason more were found is due to the fact they actually looked for more after the first batch was found. It's called due diligence. The documents weren't subpoenaed, weren't destroyed, weren't moved. You need to learn what obstruction actually means, it seems. It's so f****** predictable, being spoonfed Fox News chyron hyperbolic nonsense. Trump wasn't impeached over a phone call. He denied military aid to Ukraine because Ukraine wouldn't investigate Hunter Biden and the Biden family. It is illegal to petition or solicit a foreign government to investigate a political rival when you're in office. Treason? L...o....l. Treason requires a formal declaration of war to be a criminal offense. There is zero evidence of anything remotely resembling what you're claiming. It doesn't strike you as odd that the only people publishing the Biden Center story are Fox and the Free Beacon, a right-wing publication? Is that because every other conservative outlet is covering it up? Just because it's published doesn't make it authentic or true.

So, it ok for you to post partisan opinion stories, but not others?
The story is unfolding as we exchange opinions and yes, it is very effing possible for the Democrats to manipulate the news coverage, they have been doing that since the days of Walter Cronkite. I stated the possibility of a Chinese connection, you flat out said that was ridiculous and unsubstantiated. You were wrong. I stated that if a politician purposely leaves classified documents in an unsecured area which has connections to foreign countries, that is treason. It shouldn’t matter if there is an R or a D next to their name.
I don’t enjoy reading about Biden’s incompetence or the audacity of the ridiculous explanations the Democratic Party offers. Some of us are sick of the multi tiered justice system, others like yourself don’t mind it so much as long as your side comes away retaining power.

I post tweets from legal analysts, professors and scholars, by and large. I don't go out and pluck articles from obviously skewed publications. Are they left-leaning? Sure, probably. That's largely because the right-wing media is too busy talking about woke grooming of children, critical race theory or other nonsensical clickbait garbage. Unserious. As of right now, it *is* unsubstantiated. The article comes from one source, a right-wing center in Virginia. Considering the donations are public record (or claimed to be) and Penn is denying they got any foreign donations of any kind, it's unsubstantiated by default until someone can produce those donations. Fox will run with it because they aren't news, they are entertainment, by their own admission after they were sued for defamation. Do you have any proof Biden purposely left the documents? No? Okay. It's not treason either way, just like it's not treason for Trump to show national intelligence to foreign governments at Mar-A-Lago. As much as you'd like to put forth that silliness, it's false under the law. Treason, as stated, requires a public declaration of war to be a violation of the criminal statute. Just like it's not obstruction of justice; the documents were turned over to the government already. No obstruction or impeding of the investigation took place. The fact you keep missing? There. Is. No. Crime. Find me a statute Biden violated. You won't. Gross negligence isn't enough to prosecute, there *HAS* to be intent to rise to the level of criminality. A "multi-tiered" justice system doesn't protect Democrats; it protects the rich, powerful and white. That's why the former president hasn't been led out of his residence in handcuffs, in case you're wondering. As most legal analysts who are telling the truth will tell you, this is a giant ball of nothing. There will be no charges because no crime was committed. If stupidity and sloppiness were criminal violations? Sure. Sadly, they aren't. As I said before, the worst part of this process is the fact it takes the spotlight off Trump's transgressions and creates the illusion that the situations are equitable. They aren't. One is a crystal clear, multi-faceted indictable case, the other is not. If it somehow comes out that Biden obstructed justice, was engaged in a conspiracy, purposely withheld documents after the DOJ intervened? Prosecute him. That simple.

That is a……crime. It’s a Republican House now, so this will be investigated. At first glance it looks terrible for the Biden people, in spite of your jaundiced viewpoint.

Were you concerned with the gravity of Trump's situation? I don't seem to recall the treason chants, for some reason. Let's call it for what it is: Hypocrisy. And no, mishandling of classified documents is not and will never be a crime for a sitting or former president. There's a reason why the DOJ didn't include that on their search warrant in Florida. It's never going to happen because they can't prove who actually handled the documents in the first place or knowingly removed them from anywhere. Giant ball of nothing. Here's Trump's own lawyer (who lied on a sworn statement) telling you why Biden can't be charged with 18 USC 1924: www.emptywheel.net/2023/01/15/why-trumps-lawyer-evan-corcoran-thinks-joe-biden-didnt-violate-18-usc-1924/Isn't it...ironic? The hilarious thing is if Trump had just voluntarily returned all the documents to NARA, there would have been no government involvement, no investigation, no search warrant, nothing. His ego is his own doom. The House can investigate all they want. Gigantic waste of time and resources, which is what the Republicans specialize in. At first glance, with understanding the law, it's going to amount to nothing but a lot of fake outrage by a desperate party. Let's not pretend the GOP wasn't going to proceed with fictional investigations either way, as they have said all along. Snooze....fest.

Exactly, one case involves the Government whitewashing the illegal acquisition, possession, storage, and custody of classified documents and other is a Government hit job on its political enemy. Entirely different. It will be interesting to see how the Democrat Government Lifers spit this baby in half. That's a really interesting and pathologically false statement. Not illegal for them to be possessed with a security clearance, for one. A hit job? The Democrats made Trump not turn over the documents? I needed a good laugh. Taking classified docs out of a secure area can be very illegal. Storing classified docs out of a secure area can be very illegal. Providing classified docs to other people without a clearance can be very illegal. Moving classified docs from one unsecured location to another unsecure location can be very illegal. Not maintaining strict custody of classified docs can be very illegal. What is it gonna be for Joe? Another "I'm too stupid to live" defense like Hillary's and Trump will get the colluding with Russia hoax again? If they both don't get the same treatment and judgement in this case then, yes, a hit job.

If they both don't get the same treatment and judgement in this case then, yes, a hit job. Why would they get the same treatment? The situations are not equal. No president, past or present, is ever going to be charged for mishandling or storing classified intel. Not happening. You're describing the same statute that doesn't apply here because gross negligence is not enough for criminal charges to be filed. If it were, Trump would have been arrested over a year ago for commingling national defense information with his own personal documents. Biden maintained a security clearance, so that doesn't apply, either. One more time - Trump knowingly took documents out of the White House; he's admitted as much multiple times. He refused to return them not once, not twice, but three times. His attorney lied on a sworn affidavit that all the documents had been returned when they had not. Under surveillance, the documents were moved AFTER the subpoena was issued. First it was "Well, I had the power to declassify things with my mind and tiny hands." Then it was "Well, just a bunch of folders during a raid." Then the story kept changing over and over and over. Declassification doesn't matter. Hundreds of documents regarding some of the most sensitive intelligence on Earth, like the names of covert spies around the world who were subsequently executed. Biden? Not so much. The desperation is real here, but that doesn't change the facts of what happened. One will be indicted, one will not....and it's not because of a hit job. It's because only one is an actual prosecutable crime.

There seems to be this blind trust and faith in the Republicans, who have shown zero desire to govern...and I just can't figure out why. "Oh the House is Republican now, so there will be investigations." Yeah, because they have no plan to actually LEAD. It's just gaslighting to the clueless people who don't think independently. Suddenly they are concerned about the debt ceiling? Of course they aren't.

Ok, I’ll clarify. Leaving classified documents in your garage and other unsecured areas makes them vulnerable to being exposed to foreign agents. I’m not saying that happened, but then again who knows? The documents were unsecured. Can we agree on that? You mean like... Mar-A-Lago? An actual place where foreign nationals come and go regularly? The incompetence of Biden's staff to secure the documents is baffling, but nothing resulting to the level of criminality. The contents of the documents themselves matter greatly here, too. The investigation is ongoing, so we'll know at some point. I don't expect it to amount to anything. With Trump and his highly secure residence guarded by the United States Secret Service, he can claim Executive Privilege as a pretext for storing the documents at his residence. This was completely ignored as the Dems did an all in partisan dogpile on Trump, invading his home with raids, unprecedented treatment for any former president. Biden’s people left their docs scattered around the country in various unsecured locations. Biden’s case looks far worst on the surface.

Good breakdown here of why Biden likely will not be charged with a criminal offense. He won’t be charged with anything the same way Hillary got off without seeing jail time. We don’t do that to corrupt Dem politicians in this country. Of course you or I would be cooling our fannies in jail, but not the ruling class.

No, Mar-A-Lago is *not* secure. As mentioned, it has underground tunnels and corridors which run all the way across the street, which is how Rudy Giuliani preferred to come and go. It's a logistical nightmare where foreign nationals came and went largely unfettered. You've seen way too many movies involving the Secret Service, it seems. The FBI referred to it as a "counterintelligence nightmare." Point two - Nope, also wrong. (Where do you get this stuff from?) Executive privilege lies with the office, not the person. Once you stop becoming president, you no longer have executive privilege. (This is why the declassification nonsense hasn't been brought up in court, perjury is a real thing?) There was no raid. There was a lawful search warrant that was legally executed after the burden of proof was met and signed off on by a federal judge. You really shouldn't get your news from Truth Social. I feel like we're going back in time to August....because the nonsense is flying. And no, Biden's case is nowhere near as bad in scope, size, importance, relevancy or anything else. "Various unsecured locations" (Two?) is pretty hysterical considering Trump also had documents outside of Mar-A-Lago and likely had them in far less secure places as well. There's also the tiny fact that the number of classified/TS-SCI was in the hundreds. We're talking a massive, massive failure that likely cost people their lives. Only a person devoid of reality would argue Biden's case is somehow worse. Trump had: Far more documents, far more damaging intelligence information, far more obstruction, far more perjury and one less security clearance. Like....it's not close. I'd argue Trump's criminal nature is pretty unprecedented as well. Under investigation in Georgia, New York, Florida and Washington? Pretty full bingo card.

Plus, he is a hypocrite of the first order. That should be obvious….even to you.

Plus, he is a hypocrite of the first order. That should be obvious….even to you. If MAL was that secure, how did a Ukrainian woman claiming to be a member of the Rothschild family manage to infiltrate the president's inner circle for a round of golf? Or this... "It also ignored ample reporting over the years that showed evidence of lax security at the Florida residence. This was recently spotlighted by the Justice Department investigation into the mishandling of classified documents and presidential records at Mar-a-Lago. The New York Times reported that of the more than 100 classified documents found at Mar-a-Lago, most were located in a non-secure storage area. Documents labeled "Top Secret" were kept among beach chairs, umbrellas, and cleaning supplies in an area that may have been accessible to resort guests, The Times found." The most securest of all secure, I think your leader would say. And no, you're still wrong. Why do you think Trump hasn't tried to claim executive privilege in any court proceeding? Because it's not a thing. There's no legal basis. You're not going to claim executive privilege when you're not in the White House anymore. Deflecting? I've said multiple times now if Biden committed a crime, prosecute him. The problem is, under federal law, he didn't. There was no obstruction, no willful retention, no intent to defraud the government, no conspiracy, no treason...nothing. He voluntarily gave back the documents. That matters. You're "Trumping" up a news story to try and create a bogus narrative that doesn't exist, parroting half-baked right-wing media. Very simple conclusion: Trump will be indicted, Biden will not.

Having a clearance does not provide any protection when one violates national security laws and actually serves to prove knowledge and malice aforethought. A clearance only allows one to possess or review classified info within prevailing restrictions. Joe violated many of these laws when he was a VP and when he was a private citizen and he can be held account when he is out of office. If they whitewash his violations (ala Hillary) and contort the same laws and only to go after Trump for similar actions, its Banana Republic ville.

There's no contorting anything. Biden turned over the documents and cooperated with the investigation, Trump did not. There's no concrete evidence Biden knew the contents of the documents he possessed, Trump flatly admitted what he had and even tried to justify having it, then tried to blackmail the government. Trump obstructed the investigation and lied on a subpoena, Biden did not. No matter what idiotic spin you're trying to create to equate both circumstances, it's not a thing. What national security laws did Biden violate that would actually lead to an indictment? Outside of 18 USC 1924, which is never going to be prosecuted against any former/current president, there's absolutely nothing here. There's no 1512, no 793, nothing. What you have is gross negligence, which isn't enough.

Why would they get the same treatment? The situations are not equal. Are you saying that Biden did not willingly take Documents out of the White House? If so, is it because Biden SAID he didn't? Take that with a grain of salt if that's what you're alluding to.

Are you saying that Biden did not willingly take Documents out of the White House? If so, is it because Biden SAID he didn't? Take that with a grain of salt if that's what you're alluding to. Yes, that's what I'm saying. The reality is this: In the last days of an administration, there is a whirlwind of activity with regards to transferring/packing/clearing out things to make room for the new administration. Sometimes it's handled by aides, sometimes it's handled by GSA. Things invariably do get misplaced, shifted or moved due to the sheer volume of material. Accidental incidents occur. If Biden knowingly moved them and held them with the idea to retain them for some type of political gain, then that's a problem. So far, there's nothing to indicate that at all. The type of intelligence he possessed doesn't seem to be of much material value, which cannot be said for Trump. Intelligence briefings aren't in the same stratosphere as a country's nuclear readiness plan and HUMINT reveals classified clandestine activity around the world. It's basically a NOC list of covert spies embedded in sensitive operations. In the hands of the wrong entity? Seriously bad news. People would die and they did. www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2022/08/26/us/politics/trump-affidavit-intelligence-spies.amp.htmlJust two completely divergent situations.
