I have no clue if this is going to change our government or not, but I do believe with everything inside of me our government must change. Beginning February 23, the California to DC convoy departs Barstow. Many Aztec fans know the Lenwood exit, the In-n-Out, a popular gathering place for the faithful. My stop coming/going to UNLV to cheer my Aztecs. Haven’t missed a pre-Covid Aztec game at the T&M for a decade+. Instead of turning east for a hamburger, turn west on Lenwood, you will find 1,000+ truckers and several thousand freedom loving patriots. Be ready In-n-Out we'll be starving. I’ll be there filming the event. My service dog will proudly be wearing his American flag bandana. I’m leaving Ottawa for Toronto tonight and back home then off to Barstow, then continuing to the Swamp. The route east from Barstow has yet to be publicly announced, but the 40 is a safe bet. I’ll be heading east on the 40 on Feb 25. Nationally over 700,000 Americans have signed up! We stand for Canada; we stand for America. We are Red, White and Blue. If I remember correctly the SD Padres had a High Desert Single A team in Adelanto. There are over 1,200 truckers and over 25,000 others joining in for the kick-off, I will be apart. I think I got the last hotel room in 25 miles. We'll know what the real numbers are later in the week. You can bet CNN, MSNBC will bury the truth. Indie reporters will have facts. See, what's interesting about this is while I am against vaccine mandates, the Capital riots/insurrection in 2021 makes me fall short of supporting any movement led by a (mostly) right-wing group that is aimed at our capital. Especially because the same party is doing crap like censoring Liz Cheney/trying to kick her out of the party for not supporting Trump, and trying to put lip gloss over what happened in our capital a year ago. I like the spirit of protesting vaccine mandates! Just not the leadership. And I think that our country needs a lot of change, and on both sides of the political aisle fwiw. Frankly I wish the protests were aimed at Sacramento instead of DC. What our state is doing to mandate COVID vaccination for children in public schools is awful, and arguable more egregious when you consider the extremely low death rate among children from COVID. |

How nice for Trudeau and the Liberal Party to have the Enabling Act...er..I mean the Emergencies Act at the ready. I bet the Democrats would like a law similar on our books in case people whom they don't like happen to protest something they do like in a manner that they don't like. If we could just keep our protests limited to the destruction and looting of public and private property, making threats and inflicting bodily harm occasionally, Governments wouldn't need to employ such draconian measures.

Don't forget to exit at Zzyzx road for some fun times for you geniuses. I know where you are going with this , but as aside...Zzyzx road is very interesting. Its another entrance to the Mojave Preserve and the Desert Studies Center is 5 miles in. It's a great place to see desert wildlife, including some interesting reptiles. The black color morph of the speckled rattlesnake (Crotalus mitchellii) occurs here. A 2006 movie was filmed with that title (Zzyzx road) and was so bad it grossed only $30. |

I see COVID becoming endemic and impossible to eradicate. As long as vulnerable populations are vaccinated, there shouldn't be any issues with children getting and spreading the virus. I wonder if Biden will declare a national emergency, incarcerate, freeze the bank accounts and send in child protective services to seize the children of our truckers just like Trudeau.
He was certainly encouraging the Canadian PM’s stern crackdown on the Canadian Truckers.
