Playing in the MW Title game does help get some additional exposure . Do realize that every other Conference also has their championship game but better to be playing then Not .
Would guess that Aztec coaches have sent him a note to watch the game .

The state of Hawaii usually has some big boys that can help on both sides of the trenches. Not sure if some of these players become available but you would think we would be on their shortlist if we showed interest.

Was the Indiana QB also with the former Fresno coach - who I think was also at Indiana ?
In addition a QB from Nebraska and Ohio State are also in the portal ?
Aztecs definitely will need to make some decisions on the QB position for 2022 ?

Right now there are nine QBs in the transfer portal that are at least 4* recruits… and there are likely another 3-5 guys that will enter the portal depending on where some of these guys land… for example Slovis and Dart could both end up in the portal soon.

When you look at it, you would think SDSU should be at the top of many Transfer Portal options for the Non-NFL types that are being real with their future. This University has many things going for it right now, New Stadium, Winning tradition, Great academics, Outstanding weather, Nice campus, Large opportunity for post grad employment/internships (SolCal), and did I mention the weather.
San Diego State University would not be a bad way to spend your last couple years of football, free education and a nice campus to finish up your lower grad or start and or finish up an advanced degree. What a nice way to start your real life in the working world.

I think we're really only interested in kids that want to go to the NFL and are looking for a program and fit that will help them make that dream happen. We aren't an Ivey League school.

We have a probable first rounder this year (Cam Thomas), and Penny was a 1st rounder just a few years ago. Plus many others drafted. If anyone is good enough, they can totally go to the NFL from SDSU

Definitely an impact JUCO player if he comes here, like DE Anthony Luke and Chibu Onyeukwu from a few seasons back.

Was interesting to hear and watch how many transfers USU had - they also played well
Would guess the Aztec coaches watch the Portal and put out offers - then see who responds - then evaluate
Also have numerous teams in Bowl Games so there will be additional guys as the Bowl games play out
As noted looking for guys that want to show they have talents but were not given the opportunity to use them in games .Want the opportunity to display them .
