Hmmmmmmm. I guess we will see how long that lasts. It might work, and it might not.

Not really anything new. They're just the first team to call it that on paper. When NMSU was under Coach Neil McCarthy they ran that trademark 1-1-3 matchup zone that was so effective. It was 5 guys running around all over the court, so even though they were announced as traditional positions, they really weren't. If anything, they had 3 guards and 2 forwards, never really a true center. UNLV under Tarkanian had his "amoeba" which was a slightly different derivation of the same thing (those were some fun times, watching UNLV and NMSU go back and forth beating the crap out of each other in the Big West heyday).

It's called Villanova. They've won multiple national titles doing the same.

I know of two they have won, but what years are you referring to that they have won?

I know of two they have won, but what years are you referring to that they have won? Nova? If you know they've won 2 then why do you ask? They won in 2016 with their 5 primary players all falling between 6'2 & 6'6, and again in 2018 when all their players were between 6'3 & 6'9 and all were capable of playing insight & out. Heck, you could go back to their 2008 team where they went 6'1 to 6'8, but more so of late. They've been position-less for many, many years, and invented the term while several others have emulated them.
