Frazier to Mariners. Padres get Raymond Kerr , a hard throwing lefty who's hit 100 mph, and Corey Rosier who had a nice debut with the Mariners.

Oh well, he was a good player in search of a full-time position… an affordable loss. Not really here long enough to gather a fan following. A few players like No-No Joe - who knew him well in Pittsburgh - may be sorry to see him go, but again, Frazier wasn't here long enough to really drop very deep roots. Moving him helps the pitching staff. Hopefully, Kerr will add more than a few wins next season.
Now, get back to work on moving Hosmer.

He must be referring to the lefty we got in the deal. Do you like the Frazier trade?

Reallocating money and resources is a good thing when Frazier didn't have a full time spot here. I like Rosier and Kerr has a chance to be a bullpen weapon. Rob Marcello worked with him in Tacoma so there's familiarity on that front. I'm a little perplexed at AJ's lack of aggression here because the NL West is getting weaker by the hour.

If the team really is financially hamstrung to the max with Hosmer's deal, that's awful business practice with the money coming off the books after 2023.
