Mid-October in the Front Range is 50/50. Old Man Winter starts pounding on the door. First thing I look at on a Sunday if the Aztecs are heading into the mountains this time of year is the 10-day. Looks great all this week -- including Saturday -- though. I'm sure it will be quite cool at kick, but dry and extremely reasonable temps. Btw... This past week was the anniversary of the 1 1/2 hour lighting delay against the AFA about 3-4 years ago. You get a free luxury box for opening season at the new stadium if you have your ticket stub from the game and can prove you stayed to the end. Call 594--SDSU for details. Operators are standing by... weather.com/weather/tenday/l/8cf8cb9941d0787aff36ff20c78cae9a9d83fc05c42773b380dff7127e280b52

Can't wait to see how far Araiza kicks it in good weather at that altitude.

Even six days from game day the weather can change like overnight. A big storm moving faster than they expect can come in with wind ,snow, and ice. That's why the weatherman has a job where he can be wrong quite a bit and still keep his job. Besides, it doesn't matter if the cold & snow do show up because our team plays very well in bad weather. I know you are probably more concerned about yourself and fans at the game staying warm. Take thick coats and gloves is all I can say.

Flying out on Friday. I am really looking forward to seeing this one.
The weather looks good there(so far), but it is the front range and you just never know.

Take your hats, gloves & coats. Don't forget a stadium seat cushion to sit on. Looking west out my living room window the Olympics are turning whiter by the day. I can't imagine the front range being any better.
GO AZTECS!!

Out of all the road-trips I've taken for SDSU football, AFA stands out the most. It's really a unique place -- so make sure you get there early and roam (drive) around the huge campus before you settle into a tailgate spot nearer the stadium. Visitors center next to the Quad and inside the church are musts.

I will post a separate thread as well, but the SDSU Rocky Mountain Aztecs will be hosting a tailgate in Lot 3 for anybody interested. We usually get a good amount of local and out of state Aztecs and friends to join us. No cost to hang with fellow Aztecs. We've done these at every Air Force and Colorado State game for the last ten years (even the occasional Wyoming game). It will be hard to miss us.. we will begin at 1:30pm - anyone can call or text me as well - 303 883-3052 .. Marc Schlom

These are the things that make a program grow into what we all are always talking about, a bigger better program. Go Aztecs! Beat Air force!

My idiot brother in law lives out there and bought tickets for us on the AF side, so I'll need to get a little "good guy" time in before I head off to irritate the AF faithful.. B
