The Aztec fans are sitting on their butts and not cheering their team. As an alum and huge Aztec fan who lives in Phoenix, I’m embarrassed. Up 35-7 and nobody cheered as team ran off the field!! Wow!! I just don’t get it!!
I was at the UCLA/LSU game last weekend and was amazed at the 30,000 loud cheering fans from Louisiana. What a difference!! We should be cheering this huge lead but not happening. Disappointing!!

I agree that other teams fans are selling out stadiums and are screaming for their teams. It is time for things to go back to pre-2019. I knew about covid before I attended the 2020 hoops tournament and I was in Vegas for the 2021 mwc tournament even if I couldn't go to the games because fans were banned from attending.

Too hot, maybe?
I was at the roadie at Stanford a few years ago and we had a very enthusiastic fan section.

Yes, however, if we want a big 12 bid as fans have to step up big time that seems to be the only piece missing for our admittance

Yes there were some fans that cheered after touchdowns. I sure would hope that to be the case. I know what I saw and have been to close to 150 college football games over the years and was a season ticket holder for SDSU for 20 years. I hope for more fans to attend the games and the fans that are there to support and cheer for the team throughout the game!! 3rd down Defense chants, and cheers for Aztec 1st downs, etc….That’s all I’m saying.
Saturday was a great performance by the Aztecs and I just think the fans at the game could have been more supportive!!! I was in the minority in my fandom. One of the players mothers came up to me after the game and asked me who my son was on the team due to my constant cheering. I told her that I don’t have a son on the team but am an alumni who loves the Aztecs!!!
Go AZTECS beat the UTES!!

The problem is not with the die-hards that are there for away games, but the fact that at our best we were getting 22k to the Q on average as we were winning conference championships.

Why is an Aztec fan who was at the LSU-UCLA game instead of at the SDSU-NMSU game criticizing those who put in the effort to be in Tucson for the Aztecs?
I'm breathless with anticipation for the reply...

I was sitting on the west side, 45 yd line, row 45 with my three bfffl who are ua connected . No Aztec fans in site. Yelling “Azteca” all nite got me that look from the pissed off locals that I loved. So, sorry you missed me from your endzone seat. 😎

Ok. Based on some of the great responses from the Aztec fans here, I guess I am the problem here. A 20:year season ticket holder that made the trek from AZ to San Diego for 13 of those years. And the fact that I went to the UCLA/LSU game over the SDSU/New Mexico State being questioned I will cease posting on this board. I’m a college football fan first and SDSU is my favorite team and my alma mater. However the UCLA/LSU game was an incredible football experience. I also went to the Clemson/Ohio state semi final game a few years back so I must not be a true SDSU fan. Road trips to Michigan, Notre Dame, BYU, Hawaii, Ohio State to name a few to see the Aztecs apparently are not enough for me to share my opinion on things Aztec related.
Go Aztecs!
All I was doing was pointing out the fact that the SDSU fans that were at the game (which is great), should have been more vocal in their support of the team! And yes I was at the game and cheering for the entire game! Good luck to all of you!

Glad you're a big Aztec fan though! Cheers

sorry, but those Aztec fans I saw Saturday night were loud and proud.
both before and during the game SDSU fans were vocal and physically demonstrative...
the only thing we need to worry about going forward is that the stadium in Carson needs to show up black, not red this week, on Saturday night...

You're problem was you implied "nobody cheered" and "Aztec fans are sitting on their butts and not cheering", neither of which was true. Had you simply said it would have been great if the crowd was louder you may not have been met with such backlash. The game was over at halftime. Some people may have been cheered out after the 1st quarter & simply sitting back & enjoying the game. And BTW, the decimals you distribute at a game doesn't define your fandom. If you're on here talking about how Fresno's crowd cheered them on louder than SDSU's while you're sitting in the Rose Bowl again rather than in Carson expect to be criticized yet again.
