If this program wants the exposure and the respect, we need to stop these 7:30 games. We need to start our games around 4 or 5. TV dictates this. We would never get on at that time. I think they will show Alabama. Alabama doesn’t play on CBS Sports. Nor are they the only team plying on tv across all networks at their time slot. We are not competing against Alabama. |

The QB is going to get alot of criticism. But realistically our wide receivers dropped about 7 balls and they cant get separation. Our best wide receivers are our DBs. We need to recruit guys that can catch the ball.

I have to say this team really looked Bush League in the last 10 - 12 minutes running out the clock with that Wing-T man in motion/ Canadian football/ Area football looking play they kept running (just looked wrong!)

Brookshire looked like a darned good backup in the 3rd quarter. For the rest of the game he looked like a 4th string guy brought up in emergency duty.

Araiza has the best ever Aztec punting game tonight. Agreed. Only slight criticism is he does not punt well from the 50. Seems to blast those too. Still impressive. Maybe for punts from between the 40s we should send in 2nd string guy. It was weird seeing those punts make first contact in the end zone like I can see landing at the 5 or 10 and bouncing:rolling in but landing in the end zone outright almost feels like a rookie mistake |

Brookshire looked like a darned good backup in the 3rd quarter. For the rest of the game he looked like a 4th string guy brought up in emergency duty. if he was that much begger than the other 3 qbs, then were f****d. top ten sheety perifrmancss by a qb. Whsts realky scarr if he was that much better dueing camp. |

Where was Shavers? He has to be able to catch better than our WR’s right? Maybe?
We might be in for a very long season gents and ladies. Not the kind of excitement we need going into a new stadium.
I don’t know but we might be in big big trouble. I hope we held back for next two weeks but I am worried we didn’t. Also, let’s hope the improvements between Week 1 and Week 2 are enormous.
I am holding onto a bit of hope. I still think we can be good and the improvements we make in Week 2 will tell us just about everything we need to know.
Look at New Mexico State and the improvements they made from Week 1 as they were totally different team. Let’s pray we see same improvements.

Some observations about our QB. He doesn't throw the ball he pushes it. When he does throw the ball it has very little spin so it makes the ball heavy and not easy to catch. The QB has no clock in his head when he should vacate the pocket and take off up field. If he won the QB job we are in trouble for the rest of this season and beyond. I watched the SJSU v USC game and the Spartan QB will carve us a new one if we don't improve on defense. Same with Fresneck.

Shavers was thrown one pass an intermediate one. The pass was about 3 yards behind him. He turned back to try but couldn't do it, He had good separation on he route.
Heck wasn't trying to be vanilla. HE IS vanilla.

Brookshire is horrible and is going to get one of the receivers killed.
Receivers won’t come to State because of of there’s no one to get them the ball.
I was Surprised how small and not quick the team is. I predict a 3-9 season, not a Big12 quality program.
