Something going on in DC tonight (isn't there always) - but those in the seats behind home plate just booked it.
Hope the Padres grabbed the Swag Chain on their way out - if they didn't, fans probably did… never seen anything like this before!

Shooting outside the ballpark behind third base. They emptied the stadium and will not play the rest of the game tonight. Probably complete it tomorrow before the regularly scheduled game.
Likely over-reaction.

Can't be too careful, and when a huge crowd like that is involved … panic spreads quickly. And with recent history in Washington, D.C… WASHINGTON — Two people were shot Saturday outside Nationals Park located in the Navy Yard area of Washington DC, according to the Washington Nationals in a statement after the game was impacted by the developing crime situation. The shooting happened in the 1500 block of South Capitol Street, Southwest, said D.C.Police.
The victims were transported to the hospital conscious and breathing. The shooting was not related to the game, police said.… another story says at least four people are being treated for gunshot injuries… www.wnct.com/sports/mlb/gunshots-fired-outside-of-washington-nationals-stadium-team-says/Padres fans take refuge…

Looks like the game will continue tomorrow at 10:05AM our time (1:05PM back east). The second game looks to be started at 12 PM here, so that one might be affected. Either way, the Padres still have to use some bullpen to finish the first game, and those arms won't be available if Musgrove falters in game two.
Could be an interesting day tomorrow … especially with Scherzer pitching for the Nats. Padres beat him like a drum the last time they faced him. (7 ER, 2 HR)

The Pads "should" get that first game that's being continued, up 8-4 and yes, let's hope Musgrove can at least match what Sherzer brings, because I doubt he has that same repeat performance.

People are shooting guns outside the stadium, so they evacuate the crowd in to the same basic neighborhood as the gun fight. That seems, from an outsider perspective a little odd.

Well, thank goodness for the police…..keep them funded! I saw a headline that said the Police Chief in the area was frustrated since they weren't letting him do his job. Thank goodness it was dealt with though. The bad thing is that three were injured.
