Something happened outside the stadium. Delay. Fans running into dugouts. Crazy.

Either the crackdown on the sticky stuff is working or the Padres smuggled in aluminum bats. The uptick in runs (it’s not just the Pads) smacks of MLB tinkering with the game. Sports with violent tactile collisions (baseball, golf, tennis, hockey) where a ball or puck is struck with significant force is subject to very close tolerances in terms of physical laws. Minor adjustments can lead to very skewed results.
There has always been a element of cheating and dishonesty in baseball, but this generation is taking it to a whole new level.
