So, the crowd at CPAC cheers missing Biden's vaccination goal. Meanwhile,the least vaccinated states are having a spike in variant cases. I mean I know that these people are like candy from a baby easy to manipulate and make money from...but geez, how f****** stoopid can you get?? Lucky for them it isn't polio.

Unless one has an underlying medical reason for not getting a vax, they only have themselves to blame for not getting it at this point, so it's hard for me to feel sorry for the "you're making me feel different" crowd. The vax is now readily available to everyone and thus far studies have shown the vaxes to have ~90% efficacy against symptomatic disease and ~95% effective against hospitalization with the delta variant. It's unbelievable to me that only a little over 50% of the U.S. population is now vaxed - an absolute indictment of the idiocracy that we've become. |

Unless one has an underlying medical reason for not getting a vax, they only have themselves to blame for not getting it at this point, so it's hard for me to feel sorry for the "you're making me feel different" crowd. The vax is now readily available to everyone and thus far studies have shown the vaxes to have ~90% efficacy against symptomatic disease and ~95% effective against hospitalization with the delta variant. Get a vaccine, decrease your chances of ending up in the hospital.
Don't get a vaccine, increase your chances of ending up in the hospital.
Everyone can make their own decision. Every healthcare worker care also make their own decision on level of care based on your decision.
As long as hospitals are seeing high rates of COVID patients we will see the requests for masks, vaccination cards, distancing, etc. So the longer people fight getting the vaccine the longer those people extend all these other things. It's not the politicians, it's the people who don't do one simple thing to help decrease the burden on the healthcare system. Easy to blame someone else than put the blame on yourself for decisions you make.
